a bit long winded but here goes

did you ever have one of those days that just seemed to go wrong from the start .got up 7.30 saw that it was a good looking day so started making plans to get up the club my daughter asked me if i could run her up to the shops ,she was 17 today and she wanted to look good for her big night out .so asked her to go start the car and start scraping the ice off then came DAD the car wont start went out and found the battery was flat so jumped it from another battery but this did not work then i tried another one but this was just as bad ,got the wife's car and tried to jump start from that but this did not work in the meantime my daughter is now getting very frustrated so my wife who was not feeling well took her to the shops i in the mean time went in and put one of the batteries on charge thinking that i need to do this quickly i used my b6 set it for 5As then the power supply packed up so put the battery on the normal charger I am now getting very frustrated as the sun is out and very little wind time is running out finally after cleaning the terminals and useing a partly charged battery the car started yipee chucked all the gear into the car ,the missus came back said i would see her later as i was in a hurry ,got 10mins away and realised i had forgotten my tx (F*****G B****ks) got home and my wife could see the funny side picked up the tx and left again but it was well worth it as i managed to get 3tanks through my rappy and a flight with my acromaster and everything back home in one piece so in the end it turned out well

    So it was a Bad-ish day .

I didnt go flying at all today, loaded everything into the car and set off. 5 Minutes Later got a call from Tony saying he just flew his 700 and when he landed it there was lce all over the blades plus it was a bit too foggy anyway. Tony invited me as a guest to another club just down the road from byley and i arranged to meet at this pub could follow behind... (We hadn't even made it on the motorway before Tony rang) anyway i crossed over the M6 bridge and the motorway is at a stand still, just like the other week No chance! so gave up and went home.
Good new though...My Dad's work is moving Barnsley about 3 Minutes walk to Fast Lads Get in!

Got to Himbleton at about 10.30.

Mike (Heliwilly) turned up to maiden his Rappy.

      Lee arrived.

      Paul arrived.

      ANO arrived.

Shaun & Dave arrived. (With trainer legs for Mike (Heliwilly).

Mike did 3 tanks 'virgining' his Rappy. I did all my helis at least once. Some twice or three times, so all-in-all.................a really great day.

      Good to be amongst friends

I didn't have such a good weekend myself! Some how I have no working 90's!

Aurora's main gear destroyed it's self

T-Rex 700's head bearing decided they didn't like life anymore

And then...... The SG's tail blades exploded

              Not a good weekend

also yes i had one of them days today charged everything up ready to go
got to the field unpacked got the freya sorted and fuled up
turned everything on plugged in the starter and glow
put on my glow tryed starting and nothingjust turned over and over and over
and the thought hit me i forgot to charge my flight box battery
so plugged it into the car battery and charged it on the triton charger
tryed again this time i just managed to get the heli started then it cut out so tryed re starting and same again nothing it just turned over and over so i think i may have burnt my glow on as i had it heated a tad more than normal due to cold weather
so only got to have 1 battery in marks 450

I know that feeling. I've had a few rough weeks. First i stuck the N9 in, only a light one, but still £150 out of pocket, then the freshly re-built SR (which cost me best part of £100) decided it would rather try and run on no fuel, and ate itself alive (it had done about a gallon perfectly!), then i was breaking the 325's on my 450 almost every outing. Today finally it all settled down The N9 was flying like a dream, the 450 came home in one piece (even after i auto'd it from about a gazillion foot and then thought i still had another foot to go - thud!), and got myself an MSR, which is great fun

Chin up, it can only get better
