Are compass on self distruction mode at the moment, they messed around with the UK distribution that made alot of people decide to bail out, including myself even though the knight 3d was a superb machine. Sounds like they are doing the same in the US also, they will have alot of rebuilding of trust with people

Amainhobbies also have every Compass product line reduced,and Esprit are reducing all Compass lines by 20%

No one is pulling conclusions about anything from what i see the press release is exactly that from the American Distributor, Whom are not likely to just end the relationship of this nature over no good reason!
You can not expect people not think what they are all saying based on Compass's methods in the past and not so distant either.
If it turns out were all completely wrong then fair enough but when everything thing is considered the odds really arn't in favour of that out come are they.

I understand what you say Alex,

but come on man, i don't get what all this has do to with the products Compass produces. They still make wonderful heli's, and that there been problems with distributors, so what.

In the end, the only thing that interests me is the helicopter itself, and from who i buy it or distributes it does not interest me....

You can't expect that Compass or the Distributor will smeer out their problems on public forums, come on guys ...... I don't think if you would have problems with your loved one that you would throw that on any public forum ....

So let's al look at the nice products ....

Dirk, you are doing a great job of supporting the compass brand, and good on you for that, loyalty means a lot. However, please look at it from a totally unbiased stand point. I DO care who distributes a product I use; climbout brought th product in over here, developed it, promoted it like there there was no tomorrow, only for compass to take their distributorship away and give it to Weston, who have no knowledge or interest relating to Heli's, and increased prices massivley over night (knight 3d kit went from £289 to £399 over night for instance).

In this case in america, although it doesn't affect us here in the uk, it just shows that compass don't have anyreal commitment to their products and the guys that distribute/sell their products, so what have they got up their sleve next? They seem to be on a course for sel destruction, and by keep chopping and changing in a clearly non-mutual way on each occasion, is just making them look silly. Once? Ok fair enough, twice? Hmmm, three times? It's getting stupid now. This is all the space of about a year in America, plus the switch over here (incidentally I give it another 6 months before they pull it from Weston and change again). I loved the way my 3d flew, but I know I wouldn't recieve the same backup/support from Weston as I did from evo rc or climbout hence I decided to sell it on.

yeah i like Compass a lot and their products, and yeah i do support them, because i feel for the underdog
It's never easy to compete with the big companies, yeah and Rome wasn't built in a day, so ......

You know sh.t happens, and who says that Compass dumped the US distributor ......

The only thing to me that is important is, that you can buy your parts and heli's in the country you live in.
