Mode 1: left: rudder/elevator right stick: throttle/ airelon

Mode 1 has Aileron & Throttle on the Right hand stick, with Rudder and Elevator on the Left hand stick.

Mode 2 has Elevator & Aileron on the Right hand stick, with Rudder and Throttle on the Left hand stick.

There is also Mode 3 and Mode 4....

The most common it Mode 2 as it puts thi Primary flight controls - Aileron and Elevator on the same stick - just like a full size aircraft.

I'm afraid you're wrong again - Mode 2 as you described is Mode 3 and I fly in that mode. There are only a handfull of pilots that fly in Mode 3.

Spectrum Tx comes only in Mode 1 and Mode 2 and not in mode 3 or 4. Whereas, Futaba 9CAP/CHP you can assign any stick to any channel.

Have a look at the site which Marin has given

Mode 2 you'll be able to fly, Mode 1 will just do your head in (it's a PLANKER mode !)

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Actually Mode 2 is from the USA as it's simpler

Mode 1 is old school mode
