    Yep, they do

Having said that, the 700 is a great heli, great fun and cheap to fix.

The Aurora on the other hand is awesome. I have had a lot of engine troubles on mine (bloody YS) but now that is all sorted the thing is rocking! Certainly the straightest/best tracking heli I have ever flown.

I still wouldnt part with my 700 though. love that thing too.

If all you are after is the noise and size (although the 700 is a tiny bit smaller than other 90's but negligible really) then go for the 700. If you want a higher quality heli, for me it would be the Aurora or the Kasama (although that looks very finicky in some areas) or maybe if you really want to push the boat out the Vibe SG

The key thing with 90's is not the heli you buy, but more the equipment you put in it.
engines, no point in buying an old design engine, get either a 91hz os or a ys91sr, skimp on the engine and your 600 will feel more powerfull.
Don't go silly with stiff blades, go for something like radix 690's will help not load the head up unless you have pitch management of a pro.
Servo, high torque jobbies, don't skimp here.
Gyro, got to get a good one, i would go for a spartan first choice or a align gp750.
      Tail servo, 9256 or bls251.
Most of the cost is going to be the equipment you put in, not the heli itself, so be aware that if you buy a 500 quid 700 or a 800 quid aurora that that will soon turn into 1500-2000 quid unless you already have stuff lying around for it.
I love flying 90's, was running 2 at one point but the fuel drinkage was unreal and i dropped back to running one with a 50 size also.
What ever you deside to do, a 90 is in a different league, not because of noice and size, but because of the way they fly, loads more hang time, lets you get away with alot more, autos you can hang forever compared to a 50.
All the top end 90's out in the market are superb, and you won't go wrong with any of them, so my advise is either go with what you know, i.e. align, 700 is as easy to set up as a 600, or go for some real bling and get an aurora, after owning both the aurora out flies the 700, but not alot in it.

No way James. As lovely as it is (and it is lovely) I wont be rushing out to buy one. Great machine but the same rules apply to me: I'd be scared to bin it and in all honesty I think it would hinder my progress. The 700 flies great once set up properly, is affordable, parts are cheap and info plentiful. I just want to fuel up and fly these days as its all about determined progression now (to catch you up you bugger!)

Another vote for the 700, it's my first nitro heli and I love it to bits. Overall cost was the deciding factor for me. I would love an Aurora or N9 but at the time the 700 was the cheaper.

I am really tempted by the Kasama 90 myself, but think I'd probably go for the Aurora (flown Rob's a few times) having just seen the bill for some new blade grip arms for my 600 kasama head - saying that, Edder's 700n flies really well (mine didn't ) and I believe he's selling it...

id say as long as the repair costs dont scare you get something special, like the aurora, kasama, n9, sg. if costs are a consideration then the I think the 700 is a good compromise.

but its still alot more to repair than your average 50, even a mild crash, but then I cant imagine with the extra weight and inertia you ever get a mild crash with a 90 sized machine.
                  All the best

Bottom line is... running a 90 is gonna cost!

As said above, they all fly well now so buy into what floats your boat and enjoy!!

funny you should say that. I had a violent boom strike with the 700 a week or two back. cost me £40 and a set of blades. If that had been the Aurora I would of been well into £200

Thats the thing about the 700, is v cheep to repair if you take the blades out of the equation.

Yeah when my 700 threw a tail a couple of weeks ago, I spent over £200 on it, but that did include a tail upgrade of £40 and a pair of £77 blades.

There was a guy on here that had bought one recently, he has gone quiet since getting it finished thats never a good sign.
Think there was lots of problems that as i am aware never got sorted properly.
