Saturday the engine in my Rappy didn't seize up it internally exploded at 30 feet up, I was forced to do my first real life emergency auto rototation and landed her softly, Mike, (Pip) said it was a super landing too, only after she was down did my knees start to shake, I can thank Phoenix for that, Nudge, note to any newbie who thinks you don't need it take warning!
Anyway we took the motor off, the piston was cracked and parts missing, the Crank Shaft was just seized but had embedded itself into the crank casing, with thousands of iron filings dropping out everywhere, to say I was ****ed off was an understatement, as agreed by the others it was rightly a C**t situ'.
On a high note the Rappy is no worse for wear apart from the engine, as the whole secnero could have been a lot worse, so now a new engine has been ordered and she should be back to normal next week.
My bank balance however is another story, lol.

I've always said I'm never gonna practise emergency landings for the shear hell of it, however when it mattered most, my many hours of continuing Sim practice paid off big time.
