  • Yeah, is very nice to fly without the wind for a change .

2 great flights with my Logo 500 V-Bar. Might take the Trex 450 pro out in a bit.

    • Flying tomorrow has taken a hit though, as my TT Redline on the 600NP has again developed problems. Hoping that some testing tomorrow am will resolve it, but as I am not sure what the hell is up, who knows???? Fingers crossed though!!!!!

        • I hope he posts it!! Yea what a great day, i really wanted to fly my Airwolf but i ain't put the head back on yet. I did have 2 flights on the Logo though. I went to the field on my way home got the heli ready, went to plug in & DOH!!! i'd left the bullett to deans series adaptor at home. Got it then went back again.

          • Yep as i said on RCG, it's looking mighty pretty without it's flybar although i don't like your blatant canopy abuse

Had 4 flights with the Gaui at 6:20am, it was fun but tail just feels loose & it doesn't behave well inverted. Then at 9:30 had 2 more on the Logo. I got my collective management better today & made a concious effort to get it right by listning to the motor & timing the tic toc accordingly. This resulted in a stationary aileron tic toc with no drop in height proving to myself that i can do it with my older lipo's. They are slow though but that does not matter.

            • 7 lipos worth of flight time for me today - sunshine wont last forever so making the most.

3 x 450 flights and 4 on the Gaui200. Best lunch break yet where I've flown non stop 'fly all lipos in the box out' :P Days like this are great - Bloody brilliant when everything goes well!

              • Good news Gav.
I was doing my usual "Frodo" steps last sat, but plopped the 600 in after a servo gave up. On the positive side, it has enabled me to fit the DS610s on cyclic, and give the head a good check-up.

                • Yes- at last- I have spent 3 weeks spending all my spare time replacing my old garage roof, including timber and it has at last got to the point where it is dry

SO- 5 batteries this evening- I was going flying wind or no wind- had a great time and stuck to my new rule of the 2 middle batteries for some progression and the other 3 for DISCPLINE...........................

It's easy to forget how much fun it is

                  • Had a great day with the Trex 500, managed to fly it quite a bit further away from me today without panicking to much. Also done my first piro with the 500. I felt much better with it today for some reason training gear has been of for about the last 2 weeks god that feels good.
The strange thing is that the tree that I use to tell me if its to windy was really giving it some and I thought to myself if I had seen it like that before I went out with it I probably wouldn't have gone out in the first place.

So now it is time to join a club to get me on to the next stage.

                    Cheers

                        • For the first time *ever* all three of my helis are airworthy AT THE SAME TIME. So before work I flew the 250 around the garden (the most recent heli to be made airworthy after languishing all winter with a stripped front belt pulley and shredded belt, owing to my inadvertent attempt to fly through a bush last October - it's just too windy here over the winter to consider flying the 250 so it's just sat)

                          • After successfully setting up the 600 with the DS610s it deserves, and relacing the boom and TT rod, I discovered more failed parts.
The front "umbrella" gear and front drive gear assembly needed replacing too; some of the teeth were chewed up. Fast-Lads were on call, the postie delivered this morning, and I have just come inside from test flying in the garden and checking the tracking. All seems well, but it has just started raining, so back to the chores and some mSR!!
