Several flights on the 450 Sport today. After a bad day yesterday when the tail servo decided to give up and the heli met the ground; After a replacement shaft, blades, and main gear it was ready for today.
Several flights in, everything seemed great, then while about 25ft up whilst inverted the heli just lost tail authority and was spinning around.. hit the hold and tried to slow its decent down by an attempted inverted auto inverted onto the grass.
...a bent flybar, which I have straightened and no other damage. Pretty chuffed with that. All I need is to get myself another belt now.

1st time in ages, I got to have a proper go on my 3DX450 with the scorp motor. I flew 2 lipos this morn and was nice to get out there. I could not take it any more after 2 lipos as my fingers felt like twigs and had to snap them off the tx.
one of my revo lipos has definitely had better days - still its had a good hammering this year. My newer lipo was so much better. Really looking forward to spring next year with regards to having some nice flying outside without cold fingers.
A short description of yesterday's crash. I lost sight of it tail in inverted high against a very black cloud & it came down hard. I did do my 1st inverted backwards circle aswell but i done it 'clockwise' which for me is unusual. These maniac carbons have had 2 hard crashes now & they are STILL intact.
Geek spoke about inverted backwards circles the other day & so i had to start practicing
I managed to get out and put two tanks through my boy's 600 Pro this afternoon before my fingers got cold. It hasn't been flown in months and flew really well.
Not long got back from putting 5 lipos through the Rave, pretty much zero wind but a litle cold on the fingers after the first 2 packs. Just charging up to go again
Flew the 600NP in the garden - plopping around. Having programmed the DX7, I had to check the settings, and the MultiGov. Can't wait for a better day to get to the field.......
managed to grab some time this morning after dentist appointment to go fly. Rather than mope around and wait for the numb gum to go away, I went out to my local haunt 10 mins walk from home, ready to practice some inverted hovering.
flew my 1st old revo lipo out to get warmed up - general fly and some loops.
Plugged my best revo2200 25c in ready for the inverted sesh and FRAZZLE FRAZZLE SMOKE - ESC cooked as soon as I connected the lipo. Of course I disconnected within moments of hearing the frazzling as I was still pushing together the batter connector as it happened. I did not invert the battery and impossible to make that mistake with my connectors. No sign of burn damage as I disconnected quickly but not trying it again.
SO That was that and packed up and walked home. 2 month old Align 35A ESC no crashes no hard maniac 3D (cant do it anyhow).
Strange one - emailed fastlad to see if I am in with a chance of a repair/replacement. Better luck next time I guess.

Back from doing my first inverted autos with my Logo 500! And my first backwards and piro autos!
I noticed when I piro it drains a LOAD of headspeed and can whip sometimes, so I guess the 553mm main blades don't work too well with the additional load of the tail rotor.
My first inverted auto went well, but when I was coming in the wind blew it too far back and for the first time ever I bailed out with power which went just perfect... The next three were just fine!
I will wait until I convert to 600 before I start doing more advanced autos. (but maybe I won't :O)
I haven't been so buzzed up about something for a long time, very glad I can now end flights with inverted autos like the sim..
To top if off I did some autos with my Trex pro too!
Also ordered Mikado V-Bar, Logo 500 V-Bar head and some other bits and bobs for it .
