Today, the first club day which I attended at sunny MK, post lockdown, was extremely successful.
It was bright and sunny, not too cold. In total 15 people attended at the club. 13 members and two dads.
It was like the old days with a bit of banter, socially distanced of course.
There were three nitros.
I had a great afternoon, two flights with the 600 and four with the 700. It was a bit breezy and I felt pretty rusty but I did feel that I was beginning to get back into it by the end of the day.
The 3d heroes were as good as usual.
I had a go with my pal's DJI mini which was very interesting.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

We had a great day today at sunny MK. The weather was unexpectedly good. There was almost no wind and the sunshine was warm.
About 17 people turned up including a couple of guests.
I had 4 flights with my 700, two with my 600 and two with my foamy, all very satisfactory. The hovering manoevres were easy because of the lack of wind. I am slowly regaining confidence in the higher, flown manoevres. My eyesight has improved tremendously since my cataract operations earlier in the year. Onwards and upwards.

Great to hear that Mike. Yesterday down here started off sunny but quickly clouded up and that's how it remained. But the wind was low and just a bit chilly but not yet tx-mit-weather, so not too bad. As the forecasts had been a bit conflicted, I hedged my bets by traveling light and just took my Rave 450. 'Got in some good flights despite the low light, and then into town for lunch.Originally posted by Mike Sanders View PostWe had a great day today at sunny MK. The weather was unexpectedly good. I almost flew today :-o Took the bike out for the first time since last year, and made sure it's all working. It was sunny but still just a bit too cold for me, but I did at least think about it :-)Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

I thought about it too, but like you it was a bit raw on the old fingers, so the fleet are still safe - for the time being !Barry

Yeah it has caught me off-guard. I would say I hope it stays that way, but I know that would be extreme optimism. A few days this coming week are looking good though, so I do hope to get back in the air.Originally posted by Mike Sanders View PostIt was a glorious day at sunny MK yesterday, There was almost no wind and warm sunshine. Had the intention of flying yesterday (Sun), charged my packs and thought I was charging my TX. Come to load the car TX dead as a dodo.
Gave the TX another hour and thought best not to chance the helis, so took the 12 year old and the vortex quad and let him have a play.
4th battery the TX runs out of juice with 2 seconds of mad bleeping before turning off - patted myself on the back for not taking the helis.
Still I've managed 7 flights this year, so going to turn pro
