First practice autos (rather than forced autos) on the Trex 500 today. Mostly fly 450-500 size so never really wanted to flick the switch on purpose. Easier than i thought in the end. Just had to grow some big enough balls to try it.

Also more flights on the Warp (i'm totally in love!)

What a rockin couple days. I am so so pleased with everything, the weather, how everything just worked for a change (even my thumbs). Saturday I took out the Beam and flew it all day, I didn't even fly my trusty Trex 500 I just kept flying and charging and really liking the Beam more with every flight (and liking the Total-G as well).

Today I took the Rave ENV and the 500 and once again everything just worked and I thoroughly enjoyed flying the Rave and the 500. I did have a slight dufuss moment when I got to the field and realised I had taken two mis-matched Radix FAI blades for the Rave but fortunately I had also brought a pair of Revolution FBL and they worked very well, previously I had only flown the Rave with the Radix blades.

Flew 5 batteries with my Trex 450 Pro, then the area become crowded so had to give up the field. Still have 6 fully charged batteries for flying tomorrow - thanks God for bank holidays!

what a day today ... superb weather conditions and not that many people at our field ...

got there by 1pm and took the 550DFC out, had a superb first flight and kept on with it ... loops were gigantic today, stationary tumbles, aileron rolls, in forward flight aileron rolls and the usual chucking around the sky ... must have been on the third pack when I decided to bite the scary inverted stuff again ... took it high, forward elevator roll and kept it inverted, negative pitch, more, more, a bit more - got it ... pirouetting, back out ... try again ... back out ... try again back out ...

did the very same stuff the next flight and was really enjoying it ... so I put the packs to charge and took the 700 DFC out to the flight line ...

first pack went ama - wait for it - ZING ... AMAZING ... I thought I did gigantic loops with the 550DFC but the 700DFC ones were even bigger ... same procedure as earlier, stationary tumbles, aileron rolls, in forward flight aileron rolls and the usual chucking around the sky: the big panic of inverted flying still on my mind, I thought if not today ...

so brought it to a safe hight, elevator forward roll, kept it there, negative pitch, a bit more ... back out ... again, pirouetting, more negative pitch, up into the sky ... nice ... that kept on for the other packs just like that, didnt change the procedure much but was keen on locking it in ... last flight I lost it a bit - brain damage - inverted, dipping it forward, bringing it back, dipping it backwards, bringing it back, left right level, pirouetting, stop, elevator roll - UHM - nose-in turned it round, full control but was a bit disoriented, so I decided to fly across the sky a little bit more and leave the fancy stuff for the day ...

luckily Red3 took a few pictures of my flying the 700 DFC so I even got proof for the inverted flying

a day like this makes me wonder, how I could ever lived without this hobby - I'M LOVING IT

Wow, just got back from 3 flights with the goblin and I was determined to do backwards inverted circles. Ive been wanted to do them for months but didnt have the balls well my balls grew today and I nailed them. I could feel my heart pounding had sweaty palms but it wasnt as bad as I thought. Love this hobby.

Could not sleep last night so started flying about 6.30am, total calm and only a few dog walkers about. 16 batteries later (Blade 130X & Mini Titan) happy chap apart from and a mugging of my tail fin on the 130X by a flower bed.

Cheers Pete, it was great to catch up with you guys some nice flying too.
The tail was totally my fault I lost drive to the tail because I never put the screw that pins the boom in place ! Damage is minimal lucky really.

What damage did Pedro suffer after you grabbed a handful.

I had an eventful afternoon. Plan was to build-up to a maiden flight with my 700e. Firstly the tail servo was dead on my 450 SE V2, so had some fun flying the FBL100. The wind dropped to zero so tried flying my 450 based Hughes 500D, but the motor kept cutting out. So the Hughes was stripped of its tail servo and this was fitted to the 450 SE V2 and 3 batteries were flown. Then tried to maiden the 700e. It looked fantastic as it spooled up, took off, then DISASTER. No more than a few inches off the ground and it pitched forward, turned slightly left and then pitched to the right and went in; blades, boom, main gear. So I'll be making use of the Bank Holiday discounts! Need to ask a few questions of you guys; but I will not clog up this thread for those.

Flew another battery in the 450 SE V2 just to cheer myself up a bit before coming home......

Managed to get 1.25hr to myself, so put through 6 packs on the TDR to get some quality time
