Weather superb here too. I had to get some work done first but did get out for an hour or so before dusk - first flight in ages with my heli problems.. need to get my thumbs serviced!

4 BATTERIES ON THE 130X it got a bit hot on the motor so i stopped. it seems to have started the odd judder up n down about a cm every now and then... Weird

I had three flights in the garden with the 130X, no crashes. The weather was excellent. 14 degrees C and no wind.

Haha we have been asking for sun. Just got home been out since midday 4 packs on the 500 with a few flips and rolls. Still unsure of the 600 bit big but still 2 tanks of circuits and 8 nice and slow under controll all good but somewhere in the middle was trying rainbows on the 300x for the first time first one complete but not great second one was perfect even got a little applause but then I got cocky and found out for the first time how mean a pile of dirt can be R.I.P. on the bright side I have been looking at the 450x and converting the 500 to fbl so this might just be the kick I needed.

Returned after 3 flights setting up the mcpx and now that I have the collective nicely evened out it piroflips better than I imagined. Keeps you on your toes due to size and the fact there's no piro comp but this thing is more capable than I thought. Alas the right servo has started to twitch so best get out the screwdriver set and clean it :-(

Ugh. Flew 5 utterly pants flights today. Lost orientation about 4 times with nail-biting rescues, nearly overview the pits on a big loop, had to bail out, almost lost it on a piro circuit dumb thumbing when the heli banked too steeply. . .
Such a rough difference from tuesdays sunny day of pure flying joy!
I guess I can blame some of it on the grey, dark sky and the deceptive wind blowing straight at the flightline, but it was a real wakeup call on how far I have to go still. . . Thank goodness not all flying days feel like today!

Yep....
Broke a 450 today, by setting one of the gyro switch positions to be zero % for fettling, then inadvertently choosing that switch position to do my 'enthusiastic' lift off......many piros later, it descended...
Then it was cold, so I sat in the car to fly the 130. Decided it would be cool to land on the bonnet. Windscreen wipers 1, 130 blades nil.

It wasn't the best of conditions but you did get some very good moves in in between the saves :-).Tom's 6hv was like rambo on steroids That thing has so much power to weight its frightening.
Really looking forward to seeing it on a warm sunny day.

Had a blast today, 5 flights on 1 7hv 1 on the other, 6 flights on the E5. Nice and warm too for a change.
