Late start only got two flights in still prefer nitro to electric thus far something more natural in the power for me...will continue with electric for the rest of the year though. had some fun with some low headspeed with the nitro...Yan grabbed a small video.

10 packs on the 550 after a long time away,re-meshed the gears on it a few weeks ago,they were too tight,what an animal of a machine it was today,running 4025-1100,the power is immence,gotta change pinion as even at 65% it just gets away so quick....happy days,and no crash which is allways a bonus

Maidened my Blade 450X and it was my first flight on anything bigger than an MCPX!

I just noticed this on your blog. Well done!

I was thinking about N Abbot club myself, though am in two minds as I'm not sure I'm a 'club' sort of person, but your recommendation has made me review this, especially as it will help hugely with setting up the 450 properly.

My 450 DFC arrives tomorrow, though only if the other half's in, but I probably won't do much with it till Thursday, my day off. The good news is that I'm on call on Saturday, and can't go out anyway, the perfect excuse

Nope, 10 weeks so far...roll on the next 10. I reckon i'll be away from flying till 'at least' the summer at earliest. But then i will probably opt for days out on the bike rather than flying so maybe i'll be taking a whole year out. Lets see how the Turnigy's hold up after 12 months of no use.

Had a smashing day today. Had two blow the cobwebs out flights with the Trex 550FBL AR7200BX, then 2 with the Goblin 700.
Let friend Stanley have 2 flights on my other Trex 550FBL AR7200BX. I then had a cup of coffee while awaiting a free spot.
Took the Goblin out for another flight, 2/3rds through the flight I was doing backwards inverted figure 8s about 4 feet above the Orange trees, gave it a wrong one, missed the Orange trees and ploughed it into the wall at the edge of the field instead.
About the only thing that is any good is the tail boom. But I have managed to source a full RED canopy, boom, skids and tail fin for a reasonable price. So I just need some side frames, battery tray and support, main blades, tail blades, maybe a tail belt, a complete new tail, some links and one or two other bits maybe. So to end the day, I had 2 more flights with my Trex 550FBL AR7200BX and 2 flights with my TDR. As they say when you fall off your bike, you have to get straight back on again and so the day continued except no more crashes.
BTW. It was ROASTING red hot today and wall to wall SUNSHINE. So don't feel so sorry for me.

stuff the flue went out and had 4 batteries on the 450 pro doing well nothing new just practicing my flips rolls and stall trans and doing a little inverted hovering the blade holder came lose middle of the 5 th battery noticed a funny noise so landed good job two so all in all good flight

Had a fantastic 8 flights at the Cuffley club today, after helping cut the brand new flight-line and meeting a few new additions to the membership.
Some nice circuits - working on slow circuits in both directions in each of the 4 upright orientations, getting much smoother with my collective control on rolls, bit of inverted hovering, little bit of inverted slow circuits, upright to inverted figure eights, continuous half piros (3 or 4), attempted some four point rolls (messy). . .
I think this new club's going to be good for my flying! Great big flat field, no trees/power lines, clubhouse with gas for cups of tea/coffee and warming up. . .
Onwards and Upwards!

Yep Your flying was awesome today and thanks for all that grass cutting Matt.I had the pleasure of the first take off and landing on the new strip and suprisingly i did a very good job:-) right in the middle of the strip.Introduced more members to the club so all in all a great day.

Had a great day today at Phoenix. Usual suspects were all there (Graham, Ross, Mark, Nick, Justin and Rich - aka Heathy, Gashead, Stonermark, Chip, Sharpedge and "Grandad" )

Such a good day to be flying that we ended up using both patches for most of the afternoon. Except of course when Graham went out, at which point most of us retired to the safety of the club house! ... grasscutting has never made people run away so fast (isn't the heli supposed to be level when you do that Graham!?) Ross seems to be getting more and more nitro in his veins and Rich entertained us all by crashing his 450x! A great day, finished off by Nick giving us a demonstration of his plank flying. REALLY IMPRESSIVE flying wing - what really amazed me what how little damage it incurred by crashing into "Ross' tree" at full chat!

Rich then crashed his plank in sympathy! ... twice!

Personally, I had great fun with my 500EFL, 450x and 450-3GX. No crashes for me ... confidence coming back! Happy days !

Poo day today, first flight on the 450 went well, lots of inverted circuits slowing down all the transitions in the piro, even tried upright piro reversals (proper head f**k)
2nd flight on the 450 and built up the inverted circuits to quicker piro and Bang in it goes Wtf!! in the same 3 o'clock position it went in at indoors the other month, proper gutted as I've worked so hard to get that move sorted back to the drawing board.
Had a flight on the 500 and 700 but the fog and mist had closed in so called it a day.

Striped and rebuilt the 450 this afternoon, only thing I need is a head block guide pin, so not to bad.
