Presumably you actually meant cynical, of which yes I probably am and if all you want to indulge in is mutual backslapping then I shall refrain from further comment as ordered.

Lucky the spelling police were out tonight hey

I just thought it was a bit hypocritical of you, talking about 'subliminal messages of hardship', when your first post was titled "Do I keep going or give up"

I thought that was a rhetorical question rather than a subliminal message, anyway we're in danger of hijacking this thread. For those that have given to this cause I salute you, I was merely of the opinion that such threads and needy causes appeared to be becoming more common.

that is not the reason i gave callum the spare parts he needed and i have no use for.
a thank you from callum was more than enough for me thanks.
which he duly did both on here and in a PM.

in future if I donate parts to somebody i'll do it through PM's
that way nobody will think i'm fishing for compliments or anything else.

For **** sake! Stop this petty bitching about one member's charitable actions! Jesus Christ children, grow up!

If one member decides to give another member something out of the kindness of their hearts, then we should be applauding that person, not criticise or calling his motives into question!!

I have had two things given to me since being a member and I thanked the two people that gave me the items (Nicolasgreening and adieuk). It don't mean to say I'm scraping coppers from the soil tho!

Long live the generosity of the forum!

Alan, anyone who knows anything about you, if only through this forum, knows that you are not that sort of person. You are like a large number of people on this site who will help other enthusiasts when they can.

FWIW, I'd just like to say "nice one" for what you did for Callum.
