I'm just waiting for the post that asks us to donate £2.00 a month, just £2.00 to help all the under 18's that crash their heli's. I've just bought my son a 2nd hand 600 Nitro Pro and when he bins it, which he undoubtedly will, I expect to be having to dip my hand in my pocket to repair it. I don't expect him to be posting on here with a metaphoric begging bowl.
I understand the sentiment but I think it would have been better to start a new thread as I didn't detect a hint of what you suggest in the post that started this thread.

throughout the post he has not asked for anything .. If people want to donate stuff then thats there choice , but yeh some of the younger members do seem to be asking for stuff alot of the time and its upto us as adults to guide the younger members that frequent the forum in the aspects of what is acceptable , instead of slagging off the said members we need to educate them and guide them in the right direction which is what us as adults should be doing ...

That's why I said metaphoric, the title implies hardship and as a consequence sorrow for their plight. I can sympathise with anyone who puts their heli in, as I've done mine twice in recent weeks, but by posting with a title such as that to me is inviting more than just words of sympathy or support.

So next time I stick my 700 in the dirt all I do is make a post saying "Bollox I'm skint" and everyone will pay the damage.

          I get the idea now.

Clearly I'm too much of a cynic but that approach appears to have worked on more than one occasion. Failing that if you stack your 700 you could always apply to get adopted by Madonna!

i had the stuff lying around that i will not use (i do not have a raptor 30 anymore). so i see no harm in giving it to somebody who needs it.

i couldn't care less what age callum is... and to be honest before you mentioned he was young i didn't even know
even if he had the money to buy the stuff i'd still give him it.
I decided ages ago that the 1st raptor 30 i seen binned on here that needed the bits got it. it could have been anybody.
as i said its of no use to me so may as well give it to somebody who will put it to good use.

by the way my name is actually Earl

and it was item 236 on my list "intentionally flew my heli through a foamy plank"

Tried that with the Dandeman build - still no Heli!

No, seriously, there's a lot of good will on here to encourage younger members. Nothing wrong with that. Most of the time, people are just donating things that they have in their spares box.

Nice one, Alan (or Earl ) This sort of response is what I think RCHA is about.

Hi., I dont think age or financial status is relevent. I,m just starting to hover my newly built heli and like anyone else i do have a fear of the likelyhood of impending doom. Point one, i feel it must surely ease the pain of crashing your pride and joy to find like minded people happy to help you out? Point two, I helped out in a small way with the Dandeman project, a couple of weeks later he sent me some (loan) training gear i needed (saved me a couple of times already) and i look forward to passing them on , proof of what goes around comes around. Point three, its one of the wonderful aspects of this site, more genuine people than you can shake a stick at. Point four, if i lent a "friend" a few quid and never saw him again i would consider it money well spent!! Good luck with your re-build and well done Heliaddicts. Richard

Not once had Callum stated he wanted any parts at all. There have been many many threads where people have showed their trashed pride and joy, with an appropriate title to match.

If I had spares which were not needed anymore, I would be more than willing to pass them on to others if they were loaded or strapped for cash.
