I suspect repair will work out more cost effective, considering the frame all servos etc are totally fine.

i really feel for you stuart it must hurt seeing your pride and joy burst into several pieces after loosing a battle with mother nature

Some shots of the MP5 and the side effects on the engine....

The heli was only about 2-3ft off the ground travelling towards me, banking left to go round again and dumb thumbed into the ground. It wasn't going very fast to be honest but the sudden stop and the energy of the impact part sheered off the muffler and cylinder exhaust output took some of the impact also.

See what ya mean about then exhaust outlet/crankcase. Did ya get a spare one? Bloody shame about that pipe mind

Its workable for now - but will be replaced. Need a vert tail fin to finish it off.
