  • Price increases across the board.

Ive had the biggest shock of my life today.

A T-Rex 600nsp could be purchased on Wednesday this week for £475 from Fastlads.

Prices have gone up a whole 30% making them very expensive now.

I'm not blaming Fastlads or any other hobby shop here it going to affect everyone in the UK right now.

Typical example was a Sullivan Dynatron starter, Last week £67. Today £84.99

    Anyone else feel very sick.

Yep, I'm feeling pretty sick too. Guess I can kiss goodbye to any heli Xmas pressies

Still, there is usually a bright side - it might just be good if you've got a heli to sell. Trouble is I haven't

Sterling is once again becoming the sick-man of the world

And normal, hard-working individuals like us will be the victims. Speculators, spivs, bankers have got a HUGE amount to answer for.

As normal we will see prices rise & not go down quite as quickly - eg power, energy, fuel, bank charges......because there will always be a REASON doled out why we have to suffer. Strong dollar, weak pound, strong Euro.

Yes, it does make me feel sick

We all knew this was coming you only need to look at your weekly food shop to have seen it coming over the last 4 or 5 months as the Super Markets rip your pants down and take you from behind long before the rot truly set in

Yeah right Dave it makes all the difference

                        £1000x17.5% VAT = £175
                        £1000x15% VAT = £150
                        =£25 difference on £1000

Not a lot of difference to Joe Normal in the real world

You'd think by all the lefty crowing they'd given us all the crown jewels

For a long time if you compared the price of stuff in the USA or the far east to the shop prices here there was quite a big difference. In the last few months the prices evened up so it definitely was not worth self importing anything. This was because the UK shops were selling stuff that was bought at the old pound price no doubt.
Now the new stock arrived at the new dollar price and the prices have had to go up. The stuff is imported so it has got to follow the exchange rate.

What is the price of a Bltiz Avro compared to an Aurorra now? Maybe all the blitz stuff is actually cut in Taiwan...

I'm not going to complain about the exchange rate becuase it may well have meant I kept my job while the company sheds people in Germany and Switzerland.
