Hi, I'm new here and was thinking of resurrecting the interest in RC choppers.
Bought a Raptor 30 a few years ago, built it and ran it up strapped to the bench.
Unfortunately my interpretation of the instructions caused me to have the throttle linkage the wrong way round = 100% at start up.
This stripped the clutch liner before it ran out of fuel (I pulled the fuel line off).
I glued another liner in and took the clutch bell to work and lathed the liner down to the correct tolerance.
"Unfortunately" I ended up getting married and moving house then extending the house etc etc.
Everything has a higher priority than my hobby it seems.
Anyway the heli is in the loft and I've got 2 gallons of fuel in the garage.
Will the fuel be ok?
What maintenance do you experts advise before firing her up again?
Cheers Gaz
