Just came back from the Island, downed 3 packs, perfect conditions so I've been practicing a few moves near to my flying limit, seemed a waste not to take up the offering, blinding fun.

Well Saturday has been fantastic for us here at my place..

Jeff (spiderspid) has been getting his 500 manouvres perfected in readyness for his B test which he hopes to pass soon.

Richard (Dickie) has done his very first Loops & flips today with his Raptor Titan so he is going home with soiled trousers..

And I started the afternoon practicing my autos again with my 600e until the tail fin decided to part company with the boom, No other damage so I took the 500 out for some low down and dirty grass cutting for a bit of fun..

      HOW LOW.!!!!

Me just taking a ride round the field inverted while Richard took the pictures.

      My best side..

I was at the local park and the grass was quite long, on one take off got the landing gear stuck in the grass and had to full throttle it on take off to avoid crashing pulled the heli out of the grass effectively.
Then 2 batteries later over compensated and avoided the front of the skids getting stuck in the grass and got the tail stuck instead, avoided that one too with a vigorous application of power.
Didn't have these problems when I had training gear fitted, but I'll never put them back on unless doing rebuild testing.

Anyway off to the club with the Raptor tommorow. I think maybe even John's coming with his Blade too.

Love this Indian summer, can't get enough, even got a sun burn mark with tranny strap mark on me neck, lol.

You have a safe bet on me being there mate. See ya tomorrow. Looking good again too. Yaay. Maybe get the trainer gear off. Downer is I only got one Lipo left, the other keeled over and died on me.

I'll bring 5 you can use John.

Also assuming you have not disposed of the battery, and it's just a one cell problem, bring it with you, leave it with me i'll see if I can revive it for you.

Dougie, that patch of cut grass you see in the pictures wasnt done with a mower.

Thanks Joe, I flung it in the fire bin to await destruction (by salt water I hasten to add) It's been in there a week so is probly totally extinct by now. I'm going to get some more in the week, what's the best ones to get? Don't forget I need the white balance connectors like the one the default LiPo has.#

If as many go as you told me did last w/end one Lipo likely be enough anyhow. As I'll be busy watching some of the other guys fly...

Got a new cam too, for going on board, just don't know how to do that yet. As it has mountings for various applications, it's got a head/helmet mount, plus a handlebar mounting, which might go round the tail boom of a heli. I think it would throw the balance on my little lady right out though, as it's heavier than the FC1.

I concur, good luck to all those flying in championships. And to those going to the Show at the Hop Farm, have a great day.

To the rest of us heading for flying fields up and down the UK, here's hoping the wx is as promised, have fun all. And here's hoping all our helis come home in one piece.
