Bad news about your Heli, but glad they will sort it out for you.

With the rotors going, there must have been quite a bit of smoke for you to actually see it. Glad it didn't smoke out your house when it went. I bet that was the quickest you have moved in a while!

Sounds like a good lesson for anyone with a 4#3. I will definitely look out for it when mine arrives now.

Hope they get you up and running soon and sorry to hear this bad news.

I guess the damage looks worse than it really is, just the tail motor cable and the control box, after those being replaced she should be as good as new.

Strangely I've had far worse luck not being able to fly rather than flying
problems itself.

What I original thought was a problem when putting it back together after burning out a motor was purely trying to do something in not enough light, and how I was at the time, so apart from that it's been a breeze, until this which I'm completely 100% responsible.

Not meaning to dig this one out of the depths, but when I short circuited the tail motor and burnt out the control box and fried the tail power lead this wouldn't have damaged the battery would it?

I can't see how it could, but after seeing the damage to the body where the boom attach's to the main body, I think a new frame would have been in order, meaning everything being moved over to a new frame.

So I've ordered a new 4#3b from Terence in HK, and taken apart the old heli as there's plenty of spares which can be stored with the other spares I have, plus others on there way.

This may seem like a little drastic fix, but right now I can't be bothered with buggering about, and in all honesty with my first suppliers kind offer I had a feeling that after many weeks possibly of playing about I'd have just brought a new one anyway, plus it was a good price, and right now I can't get out at all due to spine probs, so I thought F-It! and my spares for this heli will keep me going forever.

But on the battery query will it be OK to still use it, as I have three and I don't know which one it was now?
