Cant argue on the servo prices, but the metal cases will be indestructible so you could always buy a plastic servo and swap the internals if push came to shove
Yeah, I tend to agree, the swash on the 450X was fine, and had a smilar design. I'm reading that the servo horns tend to break in a crash, which is a good thing as it will save the gears. Do you plan to keep plenty of the common parts that tend to break when the inevitable happens?

Yes, I've ordered a load of spare parts along with the first batch of helis but I'm told by OMPHobby that some spares may not be available immediately. As soon as they are available I'll get them.

The kit comes with a few spares such as servo arms, main and feathering shafts and a few spare screws.

Tok'ra, I would expect the change of swash to the CNC version to be the same as with the smaller Blade helicopters - fly it till you break a ball link off the swash then upgrade to the CNC version. Suppose you could be infront of the game and buy a CNC one in readiness for the almost inevitable !!

        Have fun

A fair point, but I've had my 450X since 2012 and I've never broken the swash on that yet. It's pretty sturdy. Hopefully the plastic swash on the OMP M2 is just as tough!

For those that dont know - Still work to do on the website but that’s the product pages up and running for the M2 helis on ScotiaRC:

                Explore: https://scotiarc.co.uk/product/omphobby-m2-explore/
                V2: https://scotiarc.co.uk/product/omphobby-m2-v2/

The M2 Explore in yellow or green are in transit and due for delivery this week or early next, so I’ve enabled pre-orders on those two helis. The rest I’m expecting a week or so later but don’t have a firm delivery date for so I’ve not enabled pre-orders on them yet. Spares will follow shortly after.

Just wondering who's using or used RCJapan recently? I'm after a new set of mini servos for a new model, and the Futabas are £61 each there, compared to £110+ over here. Even with tax, shipping, and customs it's cheaper.

I bought a fair bit of stuff from them a few months ago, and it arrived about a week later. Even with the rather expensive shipping, it was ~1/2 the price I'd be paying elsewhere.

Do you mind my asking if you got stung by customs etc?

Thinking of getting three BLS173 HV servos, but they're £120+ each!! Even getting them from RCJ they're £75 ish...
