On balance I might be better just sticking with charging batteries externally

      Hey Buddy.

There is a guy that does a kit; Order and Pricing

However you could make this up yourself and I have added a 2 cell BMS board to my two 18650 cells with a 2 pin JST conenctor for fast charging under the battery cover, but I still chose to charge through the balance connector until I fitted the USB-C board.

I've been charging mine off the USB port on my monitor and it's worked fine. Just don't use a charger plug without the mod.

As an update to this thread I decided to get my Oxy2 back. Worked out a lot cheaper than an M2 for now as I can use a Neo fbl on it as I have one spare. Plus as I can't fly it for a fair while probably it gives me something to strip down and build to keep me occupied for a bit.
          Pete,

I really struggled with OpenTx when I started - to the extent that I gave up once and put it back in the box for 6 months. However for me it finally clicked and made sense - this explanation really helped me... https://rc-soar.com/opentx/basics/index.htm

I have a model set-up for an OXY 2 and for an XK K110 model - but I've hardly used that one so not sure if it's good or not, the OXY gets lots of use though.

Are you using Companion? It simplifies some of the stuff that's is confusing otherwise and makes creating / copying models very easy.

Actually the OXY 2 model is a great example of why I love OpenTx - I started out with a simple model, now it has full integration / set-up from my QX 7 Tx, telemetry from my HW 30 ESC, plus for my other helis I have built Arduino based telemetry - battery voltage and RPM for about £4 - £5 per heli.

          Cheers,
          Mike

Yes I've started using companion as it does make things easier, plus you can simulate the model to see what it's doing for some of the things. I think I'll be setting up the Oxy2 on my vControl since I have a spare Neo I can put on it. Once I've gone through rebuilding it anyway.
