I must be the only unlucky one to have been stung for customs then

I had one lot where they opened it and worked out the retail price of all the goods and charged me customs duty for that amount, and not the amount on the package. It's all pot luck on the duty.

Buying direct form Oxy is always a pleasure as they have the stock, well most of the time. I'm waiting for them to get some blades back in for my next order but hopefully soon. Shipping is quick as well, usually only 3 days or so from past experience.

Could it be delivery was outside eu, I've been hit with customs few times now from outside eu.

[QUOTE=Martind;1227300]Received my oxy4 on Monday and if you look at the ups delivery it comes via Germany. Didn’t get hit by import and they marked down the value to.[/QUOTE

How does the Oxy 2 compare to something like the Trex 250 for working on? I used to have a a Trex 250 and it was a pain in the ass to work on with bolts rounding every time due to the small size, I eventually sold it on and vowed never to get anything smaller than 380mm blades again. Would be nice to have a decent little heli to fly indoors over the winter though.

Theres no compareson , I had a Trex 250 once , I had it 3 days & it went on eBay , flew ok but not great , it was not the size of the bolts BUT the quality of the bolts
that was the problem , the Oxy is a different class , screws are good , fit good quality servos (mks) & the Lynx 3600kv motor & you have a very fast crash resistant
heli , BUT NOT CHEAP could be £600 easy depending on which parts you use

BUT NOT FOR INDOORS. buy a xk k110 for indoors

Not thinking of flying in the living room, more sports hall flying. Sounds interesting so might have a look at the end of the year but i'd definitely need to find a cheaper solution than £600 because I'm cheap.

I priced it up lynx yesterday at $392 dollars. a wee bit less than £600. I think its about £300, but thats pre customs.

Yeah, at least twice and the one I mentioned where customs opened it and worked out the retail price, that was an order from lynxheli

Not Lynx's fault at all, just the customs lottery.

Oxy 2 is a great heli, fly's like no other heli that size and the model does crash well. The only thing I've found with this model is the tail, when doing things like piro globe, fast piro loops, etc I do find the tail does struggle a bit. But saying that the tail does recover well and it's only an issue when trying to do high speed piro moves.

It might just be my tail servo but I'm in two minds whether to swap out all my servos for the link below or just get a Goblin 280. G280 and Oxy2 price difference isn't much but you do get a better choose of servos with the G280.

Anyone had any experience with this servo combo?
