Thought i'd post this as i know some guys on here don't use Facebook, posted by Alan Szabo Jr "Out testing the new 760X"

Guessing its just a longer boom and blades also noticed the tri tail on it.

Looks great mechanics look the same. It will be really good if they release a 760mm blade looks like they have created them already. Def convert one of mine when available.

Looks interesting. The only difference other than the stretched boom and tri-blade tail that i can see is what looks like longer pitch control arms on the main grips... I cant think why they would do that but it looks that way in the photo.

It would be to reduce the maximum pitch available. If it isn't there we can't use it! Maybe the longer boom and if you go mad on the pitch could induce a boom strike. Pure speculation!

Reduced pitch doesnt seem to hold it back any:

It does seem to bog the motor down though. Not sure the 130amp ESC can handle 760mm.

Does anyone know if the 600 is going to be redesigned any time soon. It is well overdue an X overhaul. That design has little changed since the original 600e pro.

It didn't seem to be bogging to me? Bigger blades dont necessarily pull more current, it also depends on the gearing and motor Kv. I'd guess the 760 will run slightly lower gearing which reduces load on the motor.

I agree Jamie, it does sound like it is struggling to maintain the target headspeed through some moves.

600 size electrics don't seem to be very popular the last few years, which is probably why it's at the back of the queue for an update. The pack sharing between 550 and 700 is what people seem to prefer rather than having a 600 with its own 3300mah packs.

While I'm sure an update is due, I doubt it will be a significant one. Probably something as simple new landing gear, new head (no DFC), Hobbywing ESC and new servos.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

Booo! Come on Align. You don't want to make me buy a Logo 600.

For what it's worth the very latest version of the 600 Dominator uses the Hobbywing derived ESC. It's the same 130A ESC that the 700X uses which is overkill but nice.

It would be child's play to come up with a new 600. All they have to do is very slightly modify the frames of the new 550X so as to take 12S batteries (the battery bay just needs to be a few mm deeper so the batteries can slide past the bottom of the main shaft). Take the 12S motor from the current 600L, put on 600mm main blades and 95mm tails, and that's your 'all new' 600X. So maybe they will?

I have a 600 e pro. It is getting on a bit now but it is difficult (for me) to imagine how it could be improved. It may be that the tail gear ratio could be increased to suit hard 3 D fliers but I like the fact that it is 12 s and it has an elegant anti-rotation/ elevator bracket.
