At least with the pair i have ordered they have 4 sets of different coloured lenses so i can find what suits me best i remember once trying my car shades that were very dark i had to rip them of my face while banking fast at a distance as i lost complete sense of what the model was doing had to to a few tail spins to get my orientation back and then land to let my pounding heart get back to normal guess thats why i never tried glasses again for flying.

I use photochromic mountain biking glasses, which adjust automatically to varying levels of brightness and as a bonus they provide pretty good eye protection too. I also sometimes use my Oakley sunnies, which have a bronze tint and work really well in bright sunlight. Both these options give improved contrast too. As a keen skier and mountain biker I've always been well aware of the benefits of top quality eyewear. But I can't imagine using my ski goggles for flying

Fishing tackle shops and places like Go Outdoors sell polarised glasses. Fishermen use them as it cuts through the glare from the sun on water.

One caution with polarised lenses is that they can black out LCD displays, so you might not be able to see your TX display through them. To be honest I don't see much point in polarised glasses if you are not flying over water or snow/ice and even then none of my ski goggles are polarised or really need to be. Most higher end glasses and goggles have anti-glare mirrors anyway.
