I have just bought a new 380, the idea a while ago was to sell the 500 to pay for it, however the 500 flies so well, there is something about it that I just can't bring myself to 'do the deed'...... So instead I decided to give it a birthday treat and bought it some of the new black torque tube gears front and back, as the originals were getting a bit of slop in them, and have fitted a Brain, as I wanted to try the bailout feature. Have to say - it is now stunning, so not selling it just making more space on the heli rack for the 380....!!!

So much for my comment to the other half 'the 380 won't cost me anything....'!!!!!
You have never crashed your 500 in 2 years. Not trying hard enough :-) I have crashed my 5-6 times I guess while learning but maybe not for a year or so...... I'm doomed now, really shouldn't have said that. Anyway crash costs are getting less of a concern. I always over replace parts so its as good as new.
Have you got your 380 in the Air yet? Was wondering how it would compare. I would think a lot closer to the 500 than a 450 ?
Just had the 500 a few years and thinking something new would be nice. Also would look awesome next to the Goblin 700 :-)

Also im living in China at the moment so not really looking to sell in the UK but have no idea what to ask for it. All the replies sound sensible.

As for newbee's looking to get started or step up I would highly recommend a 500. If you find a club and check out a good second hand one for the money they are selling for you cant go wrong. You will get plenty of decent years out of it.

        Cheers

Haven't built the 380 yet, waiting for the 20T tail pulley and the tail belt pulley guides to become available, I intend to run low headspeed, SAN say they will be available in a few days.

If it flies like the G500 then it will be awesome I'm sure....I'll let you know..!!!
