Can't believe since starting this thread this morning I have had the best afternoons flying since I started flying helis..

Jeff (spiderspid) rang to say he was coming over to fly his new T-Rex 500 and also brought his 600e.

Tim (timmy) was the next on the blower to say he was coming over and new boy Paul (dougie) on the forums landed too.

I can honestly say that the improvement on all our flying has improved 100% and some of the first time stunts that timmy and Jeff was doing was amazing..

timmy was flying his 450SE v2 and doing some smashing tricks which we were all impressed with but when he took off his 600n and did his first backward flip with it he was heard loudly shouting with joy while still flying it..

He then followed it up with his 450 doing some beautiful nose in hovering with both forward and backward flips thrown in which for me is a great acheavment from what he was doing only 3 month ago, Well done mate..

Paul (dougie) is getting there with his Blade 4003D complete with training balls on and actually flew two packs until she tippled over causing a little damage ending his days flying but was very pleased with his progress.

Jeff had his 500 set-up totally perfect and was catching up on lack of stick time due to other commitments but flew some perfect figure 8s then threw some flips in with his 600e.

Me... I was just doing the normal throwing it about as best I could with loops/rolls/flips and ended with a very tidy inverted hover while being heccled by the others..

    Laugh...... Its been fantastic..

All of this with no damage too..=Winner.

Here it was grey with low cloud and completely still all morning, then it perked up a bit later. By the time chores were done and I got to the field the wind had suddenly picked up fairly strong. 1 tank through the rappy, and the rest of the 3/4 gallon through the 600n, flew with some music on headfones for the first time - not sure if its a good idea or not.
I stayed after everyone left and flew quite a few more flights and think I'm almost back where I was a month or two ago before a series of crashes.

I even did something new - auto down cross wind toward myself with a 180 piro tail in before landing (previously all my autos have been straight into wind).
Despite flying tail down pie dishes for up to 6 laps at a time they are still wobbling about, going up and down and nowhere near round, in fact hardly recogniseable - I blame the wind

I recommend that if you're wearing headphones, just wear one side so you can still hear the engine to control bogging it down better

                Cheers,

Actually it wasn't loud, I could hear the motor, just not sure it helped my concentration.

Weather was good here, sun was out this morning, put a new engine in the rappy & on its second flight almost dumb thumbed it, managed to save it though!!!
