  • Sunday and its raining again

Another typical Sunday, Chucking it down with rain here but only light winds.

    We can't win can we..

Sun was shining all yesterday afternoon but winds strong enough to blow you away.

Anyone flying today (other than Charmouth) or have you all got the same rotten weather.

First thing was calm, dry, and sunny but it has clouded over a little. But as it is a no fly day at the site today doesnt matter anyway.
Still Moto GP is on in a minute Some consolation I guess.

Had a few things going on this weekend and couldn't do Charmouth but I got up early this morining and saw the blue sky.
I loaded the car with the intention of sorting the revlock on the Knight. Didn't really get anywhere with that and it's still hunting
Got a bit pi**ed off and thought I'd have a go at soaring the Zagi under a nice looking cloud only to find out it was full of hail
Landed, loaded up in the hail and thunder and left ASAP! Got bloody soaked. Happy days
              Cheers, Lee.

When I got there the sun was shining and there was little to no wind.

I flew my 450, 500 and my mini hype plank, all leccys as at our field on a sunday no ic's till 9.00. it was glorious had the field to myself even when the plank boys showed up they still couldnt fly till gone 9.00, just charging the batteries up again now, blimey ive got 12 of them to do

and I have to add nothing to repair again this week WOOHOO!!!!

(obviously i'm not pushing myself hard enough LOL)

I managed to get out early before work today and got a few packs through the 500 but the light was terrible nearly lost it once or twice...

Also saw another helicopter guy getting used to his 600n and he is going to be doing loops and rolls before the end of the summer.

Now at work with the helicopters in the car, but I have monday off so hoping the weather will improve and I can get some more flying in

Finally got my 600n sorted having had a wierd issue which looked like phasing, but wasn't... a combination of new rocket links not reamed enough to be free on the swashplate (doh!), along with servos, servo discs and gyro all swapped out seems to have resolved it
That's been a long and painful road then!
Apart from half an hours hard rain and some gusty wind, I've flown all day and put over a gallon through my 600 which is now awesome again

I didn't even fly my Vibe!! Shocking!
                        Cheers,

Got up at 7.30- brilliant sunshine and no winds- yes!! good day it looks,
around 10.30 it buckets down with hail and lightening,,, only lasted a couple of hours though, sun makes a reappearance and it's warm !!! managed to get down the field around 1pm and flew the rappy 60 for the first time..

Wow!!! even with woodies, this thing rocks - flying is soooo much easier, stacks of power yet instantly responsive without the twitchyness you get say with a 600N or Raptor 50- managed 4 really good flights using coolpower 10% averaging around 9 mins, can't wait to try it with carbons
(soon to arrive from Fastlad!)- Gotta say that bigger is better

Seriously considering selling some of my other heli's and maybe just
                          sticking to 70/90 size heli's,,,,,,

3 packs through the Swift & a couple of tanks in the Raptor - between showers. Lovely weather in Tewkesbury when the sun shone.
                            Happy Landings.

Still next week should be OK for us to fly again.
I will have to come down and visit you some day.
