I'm sure most of you will already know this but please don't store or especially charge lipos in metal/ammo boxes which are sealed or nearly sealed!
It'll turn them from fire risks into bombs. Things like ammo tins and fire safes are meant to keep fire from reaching inside them not to prevent the contents exploding.....

Just don't fasten the lid of ammo boxes. Good for storing as the metal will restrict the spread of the fire. Alternatively drill some vent holes.

The most important thing is to not abuse your lipos and only charge them when you need them. Lipos at storage charge are very unlikely to misbehave.

I still haven't removed the seal or drilled a hole in mine yet, but then I only ever keep the lid secured shut to carry them. In the house, the lide loosely fitted with a good inch gap.

I use this one - you can influence how tight they close up but still hold the lid in place - so basically I can lift the lid probably 3-5mm and it still stays fully secured on the box ... this is how I store all my packs - so even if one of my lipos decided to go off apart from the smoke I doubt anything else would happen ... unfortunately they are hard to find on ebay at times ...
