    Jeepers, this is scary!

I have left lipos of all states of charge in sheds, bedrooms, cars, trailers, boxes and never had a problem.

Now I'm looking for bomb-proof metal boxes to store in a nuclear shelter somewhere.
    Happy Landings.

Sorry to hear the news, luckily no injuries.
I will now be moving my lipo's out of the conservatory!
      Good luck getting things sorted.

Ah mate, that sucks. Really glad no one was harmed though! Let me or any of the lads know if we can do anything to help mate. Might be worth doing an inventory of kits/parts/electronics that were damaged. That way you can show them exactly what you own and what needs to be replaced reimbursed.

        Best of luck!

As I should have said, glad no-one was hurt.

But, what a warning! The number of peeps who leave glasses, paperweights, glass ornaments etc in the direct sunlight in rooms is asking for trouble. But a lipo? At a guess - room temperature is say 21 deg C, but a lipo with a dark wrapper in direct sunlight could be what? - 40/50 deg? I wonder what that makes the voltage versus the standard 4.2v fully charged.?

          Food for thought

A few pic of the mess a lot of smoke damage insurance says that all electronic items that have been contaminated are considered us because of the corrosive
nature of chemials in the lipo and plastics.

Chuffin hell!! I would most definitely be buying a lottery ticket if I were you! I hope you get it all sorted though and I'm very glad to see it didn't get massively out of hand. That could have ended in a very different way!
