I bought an iBook, it completly died after 6 months, moaned, and after the have you tried turning it on, etc rubbish from the tech support line, they replaced it, next one, same thing after 3 months, replaced, 3 months, updated to the g4, that lasted 3 months then the hard drive failed, then another 3 months and the same failure as the previous ones, and now again and apple refusing to do anything. I've gone so far as xraying the thing to proove its apples shoody manufacturing quality control in regards to BGA processing. Nothing but a rather abrupt email asking ME to give them the phone number for the apple store!! (the one they had supplied to me the week before) then silence and no reply to emails or faxes. Now starting to look more serious

I went and bought a 2.4Ghz 20" iMac at the weekend. Now I see what I have been missing out on.

Thanks to Disc for the advice a few months ago.

That's the same model I own and it is excellent

After years of Windows PC ownership I'll not look back, I far prefer using my Mac.

              This mac pro went wrong....

Apple arranged pick up and they came took it away and then it came back fixed...

Not going to say Apple is perfect but to me sounds like sheer bad luck your having. As with everything mass produced theres bound to be a few bad ones and it looks like you found them

Remember hard drives are hard drives same as PC ones...

Call Apple and tell them unless they come and sort it your going to trading standards as the item sold was not fit for purpose and hasn't lasted at any point beyond its 12 month warranty.

Apple should replace it if it didn't get beyond 12 months old.

Just a shame that no makes a Sim for the Mac....

Using these guys you could convert a Sim to the Mac with LITTLE Hassle:
