Threads by FuturaSE are always a good laugh. There is a lot here that I don't understand (but that's not unusual). What I do know is that if you connect two 9v batteries in parallel you won't get 18volts.Tron 7.0 advance Vbar evo V Control

Be careful - the EL backlight is powered by an inverter circuit that generates a couple of hundred volts AC to drive the EL panel - that inverter might not like 18V if it's designed for 12V.
Can't you just power the backlight off the TX main battery? Or do you want it switchable seperately?

2x 9v in parrallel =9v (you add the capacity together of the two batteries eg 120 mah + 120 mah = 240 mah)
if you connect in series then you get 18v
9v + 9v = 18v (if both batteries are the same mah then there is no difference in capacity of the new pack eg 120mah on both you will get a total of 12 mah)
edit:- it should read 120 mah here not 12 mah
and futura was it hurbal fags or hurbal cake today?Last edited by electricsceadu; 09-08-2013, 11:27 PM.Hirobo Turbulence D3
