    My first proper Heli crash.

    Don't get too excited. I was attempting to do lazy 8 and I mean very lazy. I was turning clockwise and as I just started to come towards me i lost orientation.
    I took pics before I even moved the Heli.
    I'm actually well pleased as the blades seemed to be scuffing the lawn as it is on an incline.
    Straight away the torque tube front gears have stripped but all servos are perfect. Will check main and feathering shaft.
    This is my 1 st crash and as such I am quite chuffed as I instinctly hit throttle hold without even thinking about it and that is something good out of it.
    The blades look to be fine.
    picture 2 shows where the blades were scuffing the lawn

        Oh yes it is. just not much damage. Believe me when i say i lost it hit t/h and got lucky.

            What constitutes a crash?
            I completely sh%t myself and the heli is damaged and i lost control.

            ok its not obliterated but i got the crash "BUZZ" if you know what i mean

                    Nice one on the lazy 8's though, does that mean your gonna finally prise that wallet open and join our club lol? ive got a stihl saw if you need it?

                          I think you've done well there to hit throttle hold and put it down with minimal damage.. losing orientation can lead to some right smashed up bits. Just a word of caution... go over the heli with a close eye.. often mores damaged than 1st appears. Also check the baldes havn't lost their strength near the tips. Sometimes you can hear they've delaminated by flexing them
