That top eight "thing" as you put it, was a bit derogatory, like it's being made up.
I can't remember if it was said at signing on or prior to that, but it seemed to be a common understanding amongst the pilots.

I doubt barely any people from the UK got in. Was gutted to see that email come through!

To be fair, Jamie Robertson, as a recent winner of XFC and 3D Masters, was always going to be selected. I personally am really excited to see him on UK soil.

As much as I understand peoples frustrations - I have to say for years we where miffed that he who shall not be mentioned took a world competition away from our country.

If this year a high no of world class pilots are coming back to the UK then thats a great thing lets face it no-one else has managed to do it and its tough times.

I can't comment on the automatic entry issue - I wasn't aware of this. But in the longer run I can see a positive outlook for the hobby on this one.

Trying to stay on the positives for the future - as said there Weston / Champs and maybe a little extra fun at the RCHA....

I don't see why they couldn't fit us 8 in this year just to keep their word.. There is 24 people in the competition with 5 groups of 4? Or 8 groups of 3 so why couldn't they put what's left of the 8 that didn't get in this ear into the groups and distribute the rest of the uk pilots throughout the groups which are left. Therefore the promised pilots don't miss out and this also gives an opportunity to the rest of the entered uk pilots?? Surely that would make more sense than ****ing off 90% of the uk pilots who have supported the competition and those who wanted to spectate???????

wow so so sad to see many of you not get in i was thinking of going to zone (my first ever vist to a heli comp) but to be fair im not supporting forgin pliots. i was going to see the uk pliots. im not making effot for this rubbish.

i know im going get lot of hate for calling zone rubbish but hay. we need uk comp suporting uk pliots i see this as NOT helping hobby in uk how can it ? sponsors wont got to pliots that are not competing.imo let another "comp" to screw over uk pliots.

Thinking about it for a while now and although I'm gutted for the UK guys who didn't get in, I think Ade and Stu should look at this again. I think I'm still going to go as I think it'll be great to see some of the best compete. Not sure about Duncan judging though he was talking about competing on Saturday, unless he was having one of his moments and had forgot he was.

Other than that though, it seems as fair as it can be. Will be good to see some international pilots compete over here.

Completely agree, they need to honour the commitment. Even if they grow the competitor list.

I was at the event last year and can honestly say I didn't hear any mention of the final 8 being automatically placed for this year. Maybe I missed something but I called for a number of pilots that weekend and didn't once hear that statement.

Just my input as its easy to get carried away when emotions are running high.

I just dont understand why they can't fit the uk pilots in?? Just to give us a chance, it won't affect the competition massively and it wont mean that all of our hard work has gone to waste... Come on guys, think about it

Is Zone a UK comp, or a International comp held in the UK? As the Masters was?
