Well some more little updates....

The club will be providing a bbq and drinks on the Sunday. ( small fee charged to cover the food and drink).

Our club is approx 5 minutes drive from Maccies and also KFC and there is a shop in the village of Healing with a fish and chip shop next to it as well. Morrisons is about 7 minutes drive from the club as well if you so wish and if anyone decides they wanna trip to the seaside Cleethorpes is just down the road as well.

Judges are now confirmed as

Mat Watkin, Jason Platts and Nigel Revill so big thanks to these guys for taking the time to come and judge for the competition....

Also massive thanks as always for Jase of Ultimate Build and Fly who is sponsoring the trophies again this year so big thanks to Mr Platts.

I must say a thank you to Nigel Revill as well as he has once again agreed to do the scoring for the competition.

Just sorting some stuff out but it looks like 1st,2nd and 3rd might be a prize again .

Just an update. I have been informed that this year the club is having a burger van onsite for the Sunday and not the bbq we did like last year. We also have a club bbq so if anyone would like to use it, let me know and will make sure that it is made available for the Saturday only.

We have places left as well so if your thinking of competing for the first time or maybe still buzzing and would like another go at grassroots level after MK Grassroots then get those entries in .

I can definitely put the set moves in (at least enough of them) but i think my 'freestyle' would be a bit pathetic next to what i've seen others capable of .... don't wanna look stupid

TBH the aim of this weekend if a friendly flyin the day before to get used to flying in front of other people and then the comp the next day. I think competing for some is each time they compete they see there flying coming on in leaps and bounds as it pushes you on a little to progress. This hobby has/is always about enjoyment .

Just thought I would drop a thread to say that we are now taking entries for the Northeast Grassroots competition held at Lindens Flying Club near Grimsby on Sunday 4th August 2013. This weekend will start on the Saturday with a fun fly for anyone that wants to come along with a small fee charged to fly.
The website is here North East 3D Grassroots and also our club website which includes directions on how to get to our club which is close to the towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes .

We will be having night flying on the Saturday so get those night flyers ready and also unless anything has changed we should be having the brilliant night flying/fireworks display from the brilliant Mr Jason Platts
