Just got back from GR .. big shame the event was cancelled due to the shite British weather. Started off really windy and raining, wind stopped but the rain didn't

Just as I got home it becomes bright and sunny here ... Maybe I can catch some flight time now lol

Event will be re-scheduled for early next year (Feb/March) I think, personally March would be best as its more likely to be nicer then .. But who knows, this is Britian

But anyway, it was nice to put some faces to names


Edit: Although I got barely any footage, I will post a video of the rain for you

Ah well Its not all bad, thought it might go ahead and nerves seriously kicked in, But at least now have a month or two to work on things a bit more

I'm so sorry we had to call this event off guys . as you know we kept our options open till the very last minute.(and typical British weather style no sooner was it too late the weather turned!)

I would like to thank everybody that Attended today ,be that pilots , judges,helpers and spectators you are all stars and have the patience of saints At one point it was looking reasonable and a few wanted to try, but in the end i hope you'll agree it was the right choice.
its always nice to put names to faces and today we have all met a few more friends,talked helicopter dribble and laughed,so in my book that's a success.

SWRCH will be talking amongst ourselves over the next few days and I can assure you It will not be long before its reorganized and held again. so if you get the chance have the practice flights you have all been missing lately,and I hope we will see you ALL at the rematch! (only 5 did not make it,so now they have another chance, that's got to be good news)

Had one 'flight' with the Knight. I didnt crash, but that was about it.

Going to really have to work on my tight in flying.... Pheonix really is tricky with that tree.... it sits on the usual distance away from me for my circuits. Amazed how rusty my fingers and thumbs were for anything more than a basic circuit...


On the upside, it was really great to meet lots of the names on here, putting faces to them. I even got to have a fiddle with a DX18 and an 18QQ. Thank **** ive seen my bank balance to know that one of those is completely out of the question at the moment.

Thanks to all the judges for turning out, and to James and Ron (and everyone else) for putting in all the effort for today, im sure it will be a great day at some point next year.... and on the plus side, by that point there will be no excuses for not having at least one fully functional heli

Again to emphasise the words from Ron, really sorry the event today had to be cancelled, as you can imaging i myself am absolutly gutted.
Would like to say a big thankyou for those who turned up today, competators, judges, helpers etc, i am just so sorry that the weather decided it was not going to play ball and let us get through even 1 round of competative flights.
Like Ron said we will now get our heads together and decide when atempt 2 will go ahead

we already have 25 registered Kyle.They of course will get automatic re'entry.Until we can announce a new date,and let them way up their options,i would say were full. But of course you could try for a reserve place if you don't mind the uncertainty of not getting in on the day

Okay I have someone in mind. wink wink, but need to confirm with him first. I will certainly be striving to attend the event anyway.
