  • MHC Open Fly-in weekend 21st and 22nd June 2014

    Hi Everyone,

Please first note the new date for our fly-in which has been moved so that we have a free weekend and do not clash with the GrassRoots at M/K, so you guys now have no excuse!!!

The format will be what you have all come to expect, a very warm welcome, a well prepared field, catering facilities, flying all weekend, lots of banter and of course.....the usual huge raffle with a table full of amazing goodies.

We also have plenty of room for camping and BBQ's allowed, especially if you share with me .....BBQ food, not a tent of course!!!!

I'm sure there will be many familiar faces attend and we hope some new ones too, all you need to do is turn up, have insurance (BMFA or RCHA) and have fun, the odd burger and perhaps go home with a tan and a boot full of raffle prizes.

For this year, we may have a fun competition in the form of a "spot auto" where a target will be laid out and a prize given to the person nearest the spot. Just incase more than one pilot hits the spot we will be giving additional points for any killer moves done during the auto phase, so get practicing!!!

Sponsors are beginning to respond this week and we are already being promised some fab prizes for you and I will update this post as I know more, but in the meantime we really look forward to seeing you all on the weekend of 21st/22nd June.

    SO WHO"S UP FOR IT?????

        dave,

you know I would oblige but no scale allowed at this event and of course, it wouldn't be fair on the others....they need a fighting chance

            Hi Darren

At last a fly in that doesn't clash with my rota working offshore!! So, am thinking of coming across from Norwich, does the site open up on Friday at some point so we could set up, would be driving a average size motorhome?

Only one week away and we look like we might have good weather for the weekend!

Wendy at CSM has just kindly confirm a parcel is in the post, I have subscriptions from both Model Helicopter World and Rotorworld and I have confirmation that Trevor at Midland Helicopters is bringing something juicy for you guys!

Thanks to all the supporters for being so generous and we really hope to see loads of you guys show up for a fun weekend.

*Please note that if you are camping, bring your own water and if you need water while on site, you need to go to the Fox and Dogs pub in the village or out to a garage, as we are not allowed water from the caravan site opposite our field and we do not want to fall out with our locals so you cooperation is appreciated.

with those brighter than white legs you had at red lodge
