I've been looking forward to this event for a while now and after reading between the lines it's looking like my fingers are not going to be quick enuff to fill the form in . I've been flying planes at Weston park and various other shows for the last 4 to 5 years and Weston park is a great event on both sides heli and planks, I canot understand why we could not set any thing like ircha up in this country, like I say Weston park is a massive place and has plenty of room to cater for all aspects of heli disciplines. When I went over last year to watch the helis it seemed like a brilliant event and well organized, I think the format for this year looks brilliant and will be a great event again. What I am trying to say is why can't we in this country have a massive get together once a year were there is no restrictions on how many entres and have 2 fields working at once on for comps and one for just a flyin, like have Weston park as a massive ircha. I'm not knocking the event at all I know these thing take a massive amount of organizing and money. I am rearly looking forward to this this year to be part of the event , and meet new faces

Actually this year opens up more spaces to potential new pilots. There are 15 less spaces allocated early to give new pilots the best possible chance of getting in.
I'm not sure why some purple still think this is aimed more at the pro pilots this year? Everything is exactly the same other than a minor format change? There is no preference on skill level of pilot attending and all still limited to UK only pilots.

There is no limit on pilots to attend the fun fly, so as with last year we expect around 80-90 flying pilots between the competition and fun fly over the weekend.

An entry pass will allow one vehicle I to the event, and so family members can get in if they are in the same vehicle. As with last year you will receive a wristband on sign in at the event to access the flightline.

I totally agree. This year should much better all round for new pilots, even if I don't get in. The limiting factor is time divided between competition and fun fly.

Buzz, the reason we don't have 2 fields and seperate the fun fly from the competition is because it will seperate the community at the event. Having everyone together, with all the trade stands and sponsors all the audience in one place helps bring an excellent atmosphere. As soon as we split the funfly off to another field, it becomes just another field you can fly in.

I am looking into another event for the future which may be a fun fly and demo's/ trade only - but that's in very early stages right now!

The format is great for newbies to a comp and has only altered to push the top (pro) guys a little harder ! other than that its the same as last year , so stop moaning and get entering on Sunday Night........
I do understand that some wont make it in but thats the same with every comp, sadly if the event is only over two days only so many flights can fit in !
Good luck to all that enter :-)

Early Entry for Heli-Masters UK competition is now up! I have contacted most eligible pilots with a link for entry, however there are 3 pilots I do not have details for.

                Stuart Mott
                Duncan Osbourne
                Alex Rumble

Could the above pilots please get in touch to take advantage of early entry for 2014!

The main competition entry will now be opening on THURSDAY now. This is so that there is no clash with people traveling to Charmouth on Friday evening!
