Start off with the basics with your heli. Get really comfortable in hover before you try and fly it like you did on the sim. You'll be amazed how different it is when the adrenalin kicks in. ( caused by the fact you can now crash for real) the sim flying looks good but try some figure eights. With the heli turning away from you in each loop and practice banking the heli over some more but with the tail following it round in the curves rather than dropping in to the center of the curve.
I have two tools in my tool box. A hammer...... and a condom. If that doesn't work then it's TJFGOP.... The Jobs Fd Going On The P:::::::

Hi
I like to put the wind on Gusty and try to keep the heli in the air.
The gusts makes you have to correct without thinking. That helps to automate the corrections.
I did my inverted hovering like that.
Now I am on the MCPX trying to bridge the gap to the 600N.
Thx Nico

Another way to find out how controlled you really are is to use the 'sports hall' and fly your patterns and hovers in there with better reference points and tighter limitsPGK

That's a good idea. I fly figure of 8 and circles with my 50/600 at the field but always been too scared to try the stuffs what i fly on the sim in the real. I bought recently a 130x and its just a good fun to fly and done my first flip, loop, and roll. It feels to me in between the sim and the real. Just make sure you buy extra batteries as one is never enough...Originally posted by sjm View PostI'm considering getting a Blade 130x to help my confidence with the 450.Compass 7HV, Beastx

A few general tips would be; when trying something new give yourself enough height so you have time to regain control if it goes wonky. Always remember you can return to the position you're most comfortable with, such as tail-in upright, usually just by swinging the tail around and then level out.
The sooner you get comfortable with more orientations the more control you'll have in whatever move you're going for.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam
