From what I have read and been told go for a 450 not a 250.
There are a few reasons but the main one is the 450 will handle wind better.
Another is there are great offers on the Blade 450 3d at the moment.
Wireless Madness in Preston are doing them for 128.95 bnf

            What would a 450 3d give me that I can't get from the B400
I want to get confident with the B400 before getting another heli.
Well when it's fixed, I thought I had fixed it but when I spun it up found I had broken more than I thought
Nearly there though just waiting for a flybar seesaw holder.

The blade 400 is basically a blade 450, there is very little difference on size, I would stick with the 400

I found if you change the complete head/swash for one of those cheap ebay 450 units improved stability easy to setup and crash costs drop less parts to brake cheaper, and almost all shops stock the parts, and when ready much improved 3d performance still use mine when in the mood

Some people seem to spend a lot of meticulous hours learning, where others can pick it up in no time at all.
Stick at it and take your time with the hovering. Don't try to run before you can walk. I think that the younger you are the faster you learn.

I am in my 60's and I have been hovering for 18 months. I am now mastering nose in, figure of eights and circuits, still very untidy. The great thing is that I am enjoying it. I hope you do too.
