SMC are great IMHO, they sorted out a fatigued engine mount on a flying wing of mine with no questions. Fantastic service, highly recommended.
I say go and see them with the model and see what can be done.

      Hi

To jump slighly off topic but to bring up a heli spoken about.

The lama (either version from hirobo tethered or free) are great almost straight out of the box. And imhop if you set the lama into "exiteable mode" with full authority and no flybar weights, and you are then able to hover it almost inch perfect in your lounge, you will amost hover anything nitro included.

For a few hundred pounds & countless hours of fun and crashes that cost next to nothing to repair, the contol experience you gain is almost priceless, when translated over to a larger heli be it a IC or electric.

I use my lama at home indoors to "keep up stick time" when its too grotty weather to fly my Evo50, or I cannot be arsed to go fly my T-Rex(electric) in a large indoor building.

And I too can only give SMC a glowing report in all my years of dealing with them way back from when I first started in the model sport, to speedy delivery or notifictaion of any delays and on at least two occasions of prompt replacement of faulty parts, I have however been let down of a few occassions by at least two of the other "big names" who I have noticed one of whom advertise on this forum.

      Regards
