I have messed my controls up on my DX8 and now my throttle is controlled by my ailerons. Any advice please?

Just check that you have the correct servo line plugged in to the right channel on the receiver first. Not sure if you can swap channels around on the DX8.Very proud to be an Align-Trex.co.uk Team Pilot!

have you inadvertently changed modes in the dx8?

I don't think you can swap throttle and aileron channels, as one goes up-down and one goes left-right. Unless you've got a mix setup that increases throttle when aileron is applied.
Most likely the throttle and aileron lead has been swapped on the heli as dani_r says.

Watch the monitor and move the controls, if the throttle stick is moving the throttle channel on the monitor and the aileron is moving the aileron on the monitor not the throttle then you just have to plug the servos into the correct ports and all will be fine.Originally posted by adamneuk View PostThanks Mark, then what?
If the aileron is moving both aileron and throttle then you have some mixing in there somewhere.

That will be your best bet. Create a brand new channel on your Tx, unplug all your servos/connectors and start again. You could be chasing your tail here and it can be a nightmare.Originally posted by adamneuk View PostI have not unplugged the servos, it all happened when I was following a Freddy can fly video. I think I may have to start again from scratchVery proud to be an Align-Trex.co.uk Team Pilot!

My bet is still on the mode set up
The ESC cannot physically alter anything in the transmitter. If you haven't moved any plugs or wires then it has to be a basic set up problem.(when you say your throttle is on Aileron, which stick and which direction is it? )

The throttle is controlled by both up and down movement on the left hand stick as it should be and side to side movement on the right hand stick with left being minimum and right maximum. Prior to this problem I had being setting up my ESC using the Freddy can fly set up video on You Tube.
By mode set up do you mean flying mode? I think this has been altered
