Hi, i have just bought a 2nd hand raptor 30 v2 built but not flown along with a hirobo xrb to learn with. To cut a long story short, after a lot of crashes and blade sets for the xrb i bought real flight g4 simulator.
All is going well and i can hover and generally manouver around, although landing with heli facing me is more luck than judgement.
I took the raptor out and got it running, so far so good. As soon as it was off the ground the tail was turning anti clockwise, even with the trim fully adjusted i still had to hold pressure against the control to hold it steady and it felt nothing like the simulator. To be honest it was all over the place and kept drifting off to the left.
After an hour of dodgy spinning flight manouvers i decided to take it home and try to work out why it was so out of control.
I compared the connection rod lengths to the measurements given in the manual and found they were up to 8mm different from what they should have been.
I have adjusted them to the correct measurements, but now wonder if i have done the right thing. I havent had a chance to take it out again.
So.....should they be exactly as the manual shows? have i done the right thing?
& HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
