    Thanks guys.

With two hours on the internet every night for a week and your help I have finally placed an order with Kings Lynn Model Shop.

I still need to purchase training gear, 450x carry case and a spare battery, Got to admit i didn't realise there was so much involved in model Heli flying but I am enjoying all the options and help being given to me.

    Regards

        Hi,

Great stuff, do you fly at a club or anything in Southampton?

Wouldn't mind meeting a few people.

I have been to the old runway in the new forest where people fly models,do you know of this one?

        Also I was just searching for a battery, It takes a 3S 11.1V 2200mAh 30C Li-Po battery .

Do I just get another of the same or do I upgrade the second battery?

        Cheers

I bought a dx8 and belt cpx at the beginning of the year, had some time on Phoenix sim, brimming with confidence! Into the back garden, got it up, this is easy I thought. Oooh crash into side of house:-( this was just the start. I've had 4 crashes now £20 and a few days a time. I've just bought a nano cp x that will hopefully arrive today. I'm hoping that it will be more resilient and give me some airtime.
Mid be interested to know how you get on with your 450x. Keeps us updated.

                Wrong battery!! That's a 2 cell 7.4v

You need 2200mah 3s with the highest C rating you can find/afford

                I have 5 Gens Ace 2200's
Three of them are 40c and two are 55c
All around 20 quid a piece

They're excellent and come down after a flight nice and cool, which is better than cooking a lower rated pack therefore shortening its life

                Hope this helps

Also, I have a couple of 2200mah 3s packs you can have for nothing. They are a little old, down on power but perfect for learning with, hovering etc. Would just need to change the connectors to whatever you plan to use (I use Traxxas connectors on all my packs).

                        Hi SuperDoug.

Yeah I think the Helicopters are the hardest models to control for sure.

When does your Nano arrive, I love my Nano, It has had a few crashes but no bad ones, she only has a small bit of damage on the canopy.

I think the Nano is awesome to learn on. I had never flown a Heli before the Nano.

Well, I wouldn't rush into a 450x, Im still a beginner, I hovered her fine for the first time on Sunday but it is so quick to respond , I wrecked a set of blades on my first attempt, lucky I had cheap blades on but still its not ideal. Iv just ordered a 130x to practice on instead. I think I will leave the 450x in the box until I'm ready I don't fancy destroying it haha.

                        Cheers Paul

I just got the nano today, before I had to leave for work! I've got all the batteries charged though and I'll be home in 30 mins for a proper shot. I got one battery earlier but I was scaredish.
