    It's the radio mostly

Just imagine how many of these things have been given as gifts over Xmas...

On 2.4 you won't be affected but if a close neighbour has one as well on 35 you could be fighting a losing battle against glitches etc.

      Thanks for the advice Phil,
However the heli will not be going outside, and I live on an end house with hardly anyone around me.
      Regards.

Should be OK but it don't take a lot

Also they aren't designed for outdoor flight so it's a good idea to stay inside or it can get very interesting

just go on to ebay look at the V4 and blade parts then make up your mind
i found there are plenty of spares for both of the heli`s
but like the others have said the blade is slightly better
i went for the lama cos it cheaper and plenty of spares n hop ups

id have to dissagree - ive go a raptor 50 and a 450 size heli and im thinking of getting myself a blade cx2 to fly around the house.

just because you get another heli doesnt mean you have to sell the cx2. the cx2 will still be good for rainy/windy days when you cant fly outside with a 450 or a raptor etc so you can then practice nose-in indoors with the cx2. try doing that with a trex 450.

also - you can fly the cx2 outside even in wind with some minor upgrades.
check out the vid below and look at the trees and listen to the wind.

if i was starting now i would get any of the contras as long as it was known to work with phoenix sim.

from there you need to look at your local club and budget and decide from there where you want to go.

Just wanted to add i got a E-Sky Lama V4 from ebay for christmas, i opened it last week actually, but you will be very happy with it, its more than enough, and these guys might not think so, but really powerfull, ive been playing with it for a week now, and im still scared of it, my brother seen it over christmas and was amazed how good it was, and is wanting one for himself now.

Heres the one i bought, and it came the next day, reccomend them 110%

I kinda went in a different direction, firstly tried to resurrect my old concept 30 DX from the 90's, never really ran right so got an RC systems procopter sport, which is ok but not really suited to home flying indoors.

Then got a Trex 600N which is superb but can only really be flown at a proper club, finally ended up buying a CX2 from midland helis last month and its bloody ace ideal for flying in a small area, looks tiny in the shop and you do question if it will be any good but its brilliant for learning coordination and basic hover skills. highly recommended.
