Gibbo, in the absence of expo you could use dual rates on the aileron and elevator to limit movement to say 70% on one setting and more or less,on the other? Ian.

It's the expo you could really do with I bet. It really cuts down on the pendulum rock and roll feeling.
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.

          Just a quick update.

I put my second and third batteries through it tonight, and I managed some half-decent hovering....I'd say...nobbycopter can back me up ;-)
She's twitchy alright, but she will do whilst my savings grow :-)

Ty again nobby, hope the cider is ok!

Was good to meet you both! Yeah you were doing really well for the last 2 batts very impressed not so much stirring of the sticks so it didn't wander off as far. First one when we were adjusting the tail was rather wobbly. It was also good that you didn't panic when it got away from you a couple of times, you just got it back under control or steadily landed it.

That tail still needs sorting but it's holding much better. Might be worth getting a thicker gyro pad and mounting the gyro on that, see if it helps. Bigger training gear will also help as that one is vibrating and could be upsetting the gyro.

Get a pitch gauge and sort out the blades so that they are at 0 deg pitch at mid stick in idle up by shortening the links. Remember when you do it to do the same number of turns for each link!!!

Ger yourself a better charger so you can charge them quicker and more accurately and you'll have many happy hours with it! Oh yes, don't forget to take the ratchet off the left stick...as you discovered it always wants to hover right in between the clicks lol...

Last but not least ta for the cider, you didn't have to, as I said I'm more than happy to help out

Just saved Steve's gyro pdf, had a glance and it looks like i can learn something there...thanks for coming and for the kind words, I'm feeling more confident about it all already. I'm sure that'll change when I actually go about adjusting something on my own :-)

Feel free to join us any thursday, not that we've got a lot to offer, but hey, its the craic isn't it :-)
