Hi Dave, Welcome to the funny farm

After 6 years with planes, that left hand is gonna have to learn to twiddle a stick too
                Cheers, Lee.

401's are OK and will do the job but they are not my favourite. I still have them on my Trex 450's though as I'm too tight to replace them.

If I was buying new now I'd look at the Spartans or the CSM 720 and 630

Futaba GY401 S9254 digital Tail Servo. And Futaba 3152's for ccpm. 9252/9255's if ya wanna go all out but they aint cheap.

Hi Dave, I started this summer, from 7 years of flying planks, with a 600n Sport/OS50 Hyper and am very happy with the 401/9254 combo so far. So much so that I just put a 401/9257 combo on a 450SEv2 (thanks Ash). I did get the Gyro Mounting plate to put the 401 up front too.

Peace: Being left alone to examine the new bits you've just bought!

gy401 will bee purrrrfect for u.... easy to set -up and works well from the begginer stages through to mild 3D....

servo's for cyclic.....theres LOADS! depends how much u wanna spend!

a 9254 pairs up with the 401 for the tail...

                          cheers,

EDit! (sorry didnt see all those other replys! )

Just to expand, the 401 is OK my gripes with it are quite minor but get on my boobies

                            1. Have to switch on in HH, when you have a ton of models its not always easy to remember wich way the gain switch needs to be. Especially with electric models that you've plugged in replaced canopy and then find it flies like a sack of shit with a red light winking at you

                            2. Pot to trim rudder end points

                            3. Quite bulky compared to other ones I mentioned but thats just me being anal

I quite like the 401 and am gonna stick with them until the desperately wont do what i wanna do,so far all backwards moves they hold fine and if not i dont mind keeping a bit of rudder control going,Perfect HH isnt the be all and end all although it helps...

They dont like Piro`ing stuff much though but i aint losing any sleep over that at present

To expand on Phils comment, all my models switch positions are the same on the Tx so there is no problem with incorrectly set switches
