Hi guys and girls.............
I've been away from R/C flying now for about 3 years thanks to work and other commitments. However thanks to a recently recieved present of a Raptor 30 from my better half, i'm starting back into it all again.
I used to fly a little Hirobo Shuttle Plus heli years ago, which i will shortly be heading home to Nortern Ireland to salvage parts from, along with some radio gear that i have stored away somewhere (which should save a small fortune!)
I have the Raptor 30 kit with the little Thunder Tiger 39 pro engine, which is slowly but steadily looking more and more like a chopper as time progresses.
Just asking some advice to which components to put into this kit. I already have a Sanwa 6000 Tx and some receivers lying around in old aircraft. Any advice on:

- What servos would be good to use in this kit and Tx combo to ease back into things, with a view to moving onto some basic 3D flying (if all goes well)
- I assume that the batteries that i have stored will be long past their best - any advice on good Tx and Rx batteries to use.
- Finally i think (if memory serves me) i have a CSM gyro - not sure what the exact model is - it was small and blue (i'm sure that helps loads!!!!ahem......), wasn't that expensive, so i'm sure it was a basic model. Is this still likely to be in a good condition to go flying with, or is the chopper likely to end up in a pile of expensive bent metal and ball bearings

- Can the Raptor be started using the remote battery clip on glow plug device; that you can pull off once started (like those used on aircraft), or will i need to buy one to fix onto the glow plug itself? - I know with the Shuttle plus the clip on starter wouldn't fit.
