[quote=when would you use it,bit big inside and always windy outside[/quote]

Well, I would use it when ive got free time, and also, i would use it outside in in very light wind, but my friends dad works a a gym/fitness centre and they have this massive inside court, so i might go and ask him if i could use it sometime,...

Well I have a Belt CP and now that its setup properly its not too bad, but then again i'm still to learn to hover nose in.

Still its cheap initially but I'm begginning to wish i'd bought the cheap T-rex as the parts are generally cheaper and you can upgrade all the way to the T-Rex 450 SE V2 spec bit by bit if you like.

Please can I have for Christmas peace on earth and goodwill to all men and if you like for a stocking filler can I get a T-rex 450 SE V2 with

        Yours hopefully

Buying the heli is only the start of a very long friendship with your bank manager.

I've started with the BCX2 and I've spent up wards of £100 in spares and crash damaged parts, I can afford it comfortably but it's not a case of what you can save up for, it's can you afford to fly it after a few accidents with the many repair bills that'll be coming your way.

The Blade CX2 is a toy compared to a TREX or Mini P, but if you've never flown anything before having the first flight with a twin coaxial can be a heart racing experience.

For me after many, many hours of practice I can hurl her around the living room at speed without a near miss for four ten minute flights a day, but it cost me quite a bit in blades, shafts, to get there.

Taking on a CCP heli like the Mini Pred when you've had no experience at all is not only going to cost you dearly in parts it will also be quite dangerous depending on the space you have with people around you.

Best of luck fella, but we had a student called Scott, a dam nice chap, but after a few crashes he had to sell his BCX2 as he couldn't afford the spares back up after learning crashes, and I fear your going down the same road but ten fold in the expense as I'd imagine your practically total it in five seconds if you haven't anyone with knowledge there to help you to start with.

I'll throw my hat in the ring here....

              I have a CX2 and a Belt CP.
The CX2 is great for stick time. Think you can hover ? try it.... got that sorted ? now try nose towards you ? Now sideways on ? fly a circuit....figure of eight in front of you.... basically try the 'A' Certificate qualification on a CX2 ..... also like to tinker ? The CX2 has lots of nice upgrade mods.... how much as this all cost you ??? At least £200 for the CX2 and all the mods and crash repairs. My belt CP cost me around 450 to get going with some batteries etc. (My new align 600 is already over a grand...and still building it) So if your budget is 100-150 then go CX2 for definite...there's a lot to do and gain from it. I flew it around my living room and garden and thought....'i'm so done here' then I tried the things I mentioned above and suddenly it opened up a whole new experience. It's worth it's weight in gold to get things like figure eights, nose and side on hovering sorted, because when you smack the rotors on a CX2 it's 4.50 for 2 new sets....on the CP Belt it's 20 and the align 600e it's 50-70 quid.

You do the maths CX2 all the way until you can fly it like crazy.... then when you got the basics sorted skip the Belt (It is a flimsy poor quality product and wish I hadn't bought it because when it crashed 'lots' breaks because of quality.....I'd have bought a TREX 450 (if it's anything like it's sister the 600 it will be fab....)

In fact...wanna buy a second hand Belt CP with case TX etc. ?

One final comment.....people will ask you to have a go.....let them fly the cx2.....no tears then.....let them 'try' getting the cp belt off the ground and you'll be quids lighter in a flash and have a very embarrassed friend.

I'd second the above 100%, in reality I've spent more than I previously posted.

The blue CNC upgrades give a great insight how to pull a basic heli apart and put back together again.

Basic spares example two packs of E-Flite upper and lower blades, four in each pack inc P&P your not going to get much change out of £15, and your bust these ten to the dozen to begin with.

As for letting someone else have a fly with any of your future helis inc the BCX2 DON'T! there crash say "oh I'm so sorry", laugh and leave you with the bill.

If they want to fly let them buy there own heli.

I started with one of those crap 3ch Lamas from Maplins (don't laugh).

I then got a Honey Bee FP - learnt on this very quickly with the aid of Clearview Sim.

Just got a Belt-CP 2 days ago. I wish I had miissed out the HBFP - the belt (with the aid of the sim) is much easier to fly. Parts are a bit more expensive though
                  Futaba 7C 2.4ghz Tx, R617FS Rx (x2)

HoneyBee FP - trimmed main/tail rotors (It won't die!)

Yeah, well i was having a chat with Heli Kev, and he recommends the Thunder Tiger Mini Titan, tho its kinda exspensive, £200+ then i will need to buy radio gear with servos,

so i might save up for it, and ask my parents for xmas if i could get the Belt CP,

MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

                      mini titan is good,

i would ask your parents for money towards the mini titan and then ad that with your money so that you have 1 smooth well set up machine to fly that will take you through your learning stages and beyond.

if you have that then u will very rarly want to fly the blade cp and will most likly end up selling it. the mini titan is anouther class to the blade cp

                      cheers,
                      Tom

at the end of the day you will do what you think is the best for you,but i totaly agree with Bubblefish777,i used to hover my twister(same as the blade but 35meg)around the house,i thought that was all it was good for, then i went to an indoor heli club and did some small moves, then nose in side on,then this morning i took it to work and put it down on the floor nose in,took off into a hover to about 3ft,gave it full foward stick full power,it came sreaming towards me i banked it right and flew it flat out,my heart was in my mouth for the whole 10mins,doing some big fast banks and 8s,i would say get the blade,i know you can do this with the other helis, but iv fell out the sky a few times and its just bounced and off it goes again,if its the look of the heli you dont like, the money you would spend on repairing the other helis you can spend on another body, but when your heart is pumping and the adrenalin starts to build it could be shaped like a dog poo,

Nobody has mentioned the blade 400 for most people i know who started this hobby including myself all started with this reason being its all there at a good price and only takes 5 mins for someone to check over at you nearest heli club before you try flying. all parts are readily available and cheap plus you can get the blingyy bits if you like. best bit is the dx6i that comes with it. Its a little more than you wanted to pay at £289ish but its nearly christmas(mum and dad) also if you have you own tx already they offer a bind n fly version for £179

worth the extra money in my opinion hope it helps.
