Hi McLovin. I'm a newbie too, first post here after browsing for a few weeks!
If its any help, I started off with a 120SR, found it quite difficult to control, especially indoors! So I took it back to my local shop where I got it and changed it for the mSRX, which I've found easier.
I got the RTF, but am ordering a DX6i from bladehelispares tomorrow! I definately think the DX6i route is better, I've only had my msrx for a few weeks and am now getting the DX6i so wish I started off BNF!!!
That's just my own opinion. Obviously others may have different views on what's better.
I took my msrx outside one morning when it was calm and it was awesome!!! Then I took it out on day with a bit of wind, and crashed! Broke the blade grips again! My dad has a big workshop though so its great fun in there!!!

Nice one, just don't be an impatient bugger like me and think 'oh it's not that windy, ill go outside' Practice hovering indoors (thats about all you can do with this heli) Then wait for a day with extremely low wind, even a slight breeze will mean you'll have to constantly make corrections which could end up badly if your not ready. Oh and Careful indoors with it - little stick inputs, it can get away from you pretty quick, and would make a bit of a mess of your tv if you hit it! (Hit my 42inch with the msr and put a little mark on the screen!) Good luck!
