Yes thats correct , so if you end up buying a BNF 450 size trex in a years time (for instance) ,then you dont have to worry about buying anything thing else . That is why i would go for the DX6i combo package as it works out cheaper than buying a new RX (reciever) later onOriginally posted by Mclovin101 View PostSo am i right in saying that if the model doesnt support the DX6I then you would use the ar6210 and attach it to your modelTwister 3d storm
MCPX v2

What about when it comes to selling on. I understand with all 2nd hand things do lose value but will the kits sell

What do you mean will the kits sell? Also i'd look at a msr-x and dx6i package as it's cheaper, it prob won't come with a receiver as it's already built into the heli but it'll prob be a while before you use the receiver. Saying that if you do decide to buy separately prob worth the extra few quid for the one with rx as someone else said, especially if you plan to get into 450 size helis and bigger.
Just looked and can't find a msr-x dx6i combo so you might have to buy separately. Just be careful, you don't want the PNP (plug and play) or BNF basic (bind and fly basic) as they need batteries charger and tx. If you plan to get a dx6i you want normal BNF and if not a RTF (ready to fly).

Ive been watching the Y tube video's on the DX6i it looks very hard to set up. Is it ??
No one will sell it as a package so would need to buy separate.
But i think to start off i will might stick with athe RTF msr and then upgrade to a DX6i when funds are better but im still not 100% i assume the RTF transmitter will still do the job ???Last edited by Mclovin101; 12-01-2012, 09:19 PM.

The RTF TX will only work with the model it comes with and you can't bind other models to it.
And the dx61 isnt that hard to set-up -honestly it looks scary at first but you won't even use half the capabilities at first, I have a dx6i and i'm pretty much a beginner, i bought it when i started flying planes then i bought an MSR. BNF models are a piece of cake to setup, basically set up a profile for heli or plane (heli), name it if you want, select swash type, then turn on MSR, then turn on dx6i whilst holding a button down, DONE- EASY! then you can learn all settings and more complex stuff as you go along like i am . Like I'm still flying fixed pitch helis at the mo but soon as i get a collective pitch ill have to look up how to set it up -youtube is full of instuctional vids and theres helpful peeps on here!

thats the best way. do it as funds allow. ive not used the tx that comes with it, but i am sure it will be fine and get you up and flying and that is what you wantOriginally posted by Mclovin101 View PostBut i think to start off i will might stick with athe RTF msr and then upgrade to a DX6i when funds are better but im still not 100% i assume the RTF transmitter will still do the job ???

Thats the issue if i buy it all on its own it will cost me £160-£180 but if i go for the RTF kit its only £100 odd so makes sense. Get used to flying it then upgrade the radio i just cant justify telling the Mrs i wana spend that amount on a Helicopter lolOriginally posted by anyw View Postthats the best way. do it as funds allow. ive not used the tx that comes with it, but i am sure it will be fine and get you up and flying and that is what you want

Gonna try and get the DX6i if not ill go just for the Msr x RTF. Being reading up and people are saying the included radio is a nightmare. Kinda puts me off it and save even longerOriginally posted by dan-eboy View PostI'll make it simple, If you think your gonna stick with it get an Msr x with dx6i, if you not sure get msr x RTF.
