Hi Guys.
I've been secretly pimping my little CX2. I've loved what Cambs Flyer did so I did the same and bought all the bling bits. You may have seen that I posted and was overjoyed at the better performance and looks.
Well I went a stage further....I bought the white Carbon tail etc for the little CX2.
What a pile of crap !
First the canopy. In the advert it looks great but the reality is it comes completely see-through with a few stickers on a sheet. It's not white or has a cockpit sticker. Neither are the stickers pre-cut. It looks nasty and cheap and it is. I'm spray painting it as I type this...well waiting for it to dry at any rate. Howevver. the landing skids were next. The carbon rods don't fit in the holes and they are a pig to get moving and get even.
The tail iself is flimsy and the white plastic is thin and bends very easily. The screws have trouble biting into the plastic it's so thin. Super Glue to the rescue. The only thing I did buy that I was happy with was the 180 UPGRADE engines..... BUT..... if you fit the heatsink like I did then you need to turn the engines around the other way because there are capacitors on the sides of the 180 that cause the heat sink to offset the little motors.
Another thing.... The 180's do seem to make a difference but I am deeply suspicious. The reason being is when you remove the old motor's they say 180 as well ?! Anyyway.....final thing.....the carbon tail boom is long and heavier than the old plastic tail so even with max forward trim the CX2 wanders backwards. unscrew the servo horn and up it a click and then trim is near centre again..... flies nice....although I have no canopy on yet.
I'll post some pics but my advice....forget the pimp and stay with ally and motor upgrades.
